what is your a/c set at?

live in orange county about 4 miles from the beach so don't use or need A/C as the highs here are usually in the low 70s during the summer.

80+ degree A/Cs? You guys are nuts. 75-76 is perfect. I'd probably turn it down to 72-74 when sleeping if I could...the rest of the occupants would not like that.

A/C works pretty good as a dehumidifier, imho. :rolleyes:

My thermostat's set at 78. North TX, we've had pretty consistent 100+ days the past few weeks, down to high 70's/low 80's at night. Warmer than usual at night......maybe the earth really is in a warming trend?? :hmm:

Anyways, with ceiling fans on (and an extra floor fan in the office), keeps it pretty comfy, especially as I'm sitting around in shorts. Electric bill for the past 2 months was $155/165, which I consider pretty good for a house that's just shy of 1800 square feet, with single pane windows and no drapes.

For winter, I'll keep it at 70. :awe:
