BTW, I was actually watching Daytona with my kids.. they love cars at 3.5. Can someone explain to me how Danica qualified for pole position for "Nationwide" which was Saturday... and that's not for Daytona on Sunday? Why are there 2 races? Why are there 2 qualifications? If they're on the same track... Just saying, cause she wouldn't have been involved in the back-of-the-pack crash on lap 2 if she were up front

The Nationwide races are part of a different NASCAR cup series. Think of it as NASCAR's "Minor League" competitions, where rookie drivers race for a year or two before moving up to Sprint Cup series.

The problem is when the "pro's" are stinking it up, they go down the the Nationwide series races so they can win some money.

I enjoy watching NASCAR for thw wrecks, and last night was not a let down.

I was flipping channels on Sirius last night on my drive home and stumbled upon the nascar channel apparently. All you heard was the sound of a car engines... if you think turning left for 3 hours is boring on television you should try listening to it on the radio. 🙄

Lol. As a kid (shortly after the invention of the wheel), I used to follow NASCAR. But that was when (mid 1060's) the cars still bore at least a visual resemblance to their stock counterparts, so a Mercury looked like a Merrcury and a Plymouth looked like a Plymouth.

So, you could better root for your brand. Peeps had more "old school" brand loyalty, too.

Oh, yeah . . . Pontiac and Plymouth were once proud American car brands. They had their own network of dealerships and everything. 😉 😛
