What is with Amazon and OnTrac?

Why has Amazon been using these no name delivery companies. What happen to good old UPS or FedEX. My last three shipments from Amazon have been through some no name company with crappy website called OnTrac. Has Amazon stop using UPS and FedEX? If they keep this up I might stop using Amazon. On a positive note each time OnTrac has delivered my shipment a day early.

I've had an e-tailer deliver via OnTrac before. Nothing went wrong...

Eh, Amazon will probably take care of you anyway. An $800 shipment of textbooks was shown as delivered by UPS, yet I didn't get anything. A couple minutes with chat support and a replacement shipment was sent with one-day shipping, free of charge.

There was a circumstance that might've been special, though: it was the holidays.

edit: Please don't scam Amazon...

Ontrac blows in CA, but they only use it for smaller things.
Why does it blow in CA?

FWIW I am in N. CA and get OnTrac shipments next day usually, never had any problems.

I like the newer services being used on some sites like OnTrac and Overnite Express because they're generally faster (sometimes Overnite Express comes same day for $4.86 for up to 20lb :awe🙂 and get delivered earlier in the morning.

Let's see......OP doesn't trust OnTrac yet states he's had his last three deliveries from Amazon shipped to him via OnTrac arrive and arrive early.

Something just doesn't compute......maybe the OP.

Dear Amazon,

Please stop sending my packages via OnTrac, they arrive earlier than expected this is not acceptable. I prefer you ship via UPS, who is always late and will surely damage it during delivery.

It varies by delivery driver, same with any other company. I'm sure OnTrac has good delivery people and bad ones. Unfortunately, the one to my place is bad. Last time I tried, he opened my package and said it was delivered on their online shipment tracking when it wasn't and even "signed" for me on a signature required shipment. I had to call the office to get my opened package the next day and the driver didn't look like he wanted to give it to me.

Since then, I just get stuff delivered to work. Delivery guy there is great since reception and them probably know each other well so no problems. It's just extra hassle, though.

Did you use free shipping? If you did, don't complain.
Did OnTrac screw up a delivery for you? If they did not, don't complain.

I like 'em too. Some dude in a janky old Previa delivers my packages super early in the morning, usually a day before they're supposed to arrive.

They are no name company, not sure if they can really be trusted.

Dude, seriously.

In your original post you say that each time you got your package one day earlier and on another post you don't know if the company can be thrusted?!!?!

You sure you ok?

Ontrac has horrible tracking but the best shipping ever. Saturday delivery with my Prime. I've ordered Thursday night and got stuff Monday morning. I also like them because they deliver around noon-time, while with UPS they're getting into the 7pm range now.
