Looks like an upgrade of Win XP, but it's a new OS.

Vista is to Windows XP like Windows XP is to windows 2000
Fixed.
;) MUCH better comparison...i dont think we'll ever get a ME-XP style upgrade ever again...that was almost as huge of a jump as 3.1 to 95

Doubtful. XP is just as good, without the bloat. I don't see any reason for it to become obsolete.

Hell, at this point XP is already out of Microsoft's own support time frame for primary support. I saw a chart once on their site, and I'm sure they still have one similar, but they only provide main support for their products for 5 years, after that there is a 5 year period of secondary Legacy support, and then they drop it.

Kind of like how they don't support Win 95 anymore, and they've pretty much stopped supporting 98/ME.

Personally I dont think msft needs a new browser, they should work on making IE better.

No, Vista is not new code. It's based on the Windows 2003 code base, which was based on the XP code base, which was based on 2000. Me to 2000 was the only real complete code switch.

Based on 2003 SP1, yes. But to say it isn't new code is incredibly ignorant.

Yeah, Windows 2000 still does everything you need today (you need your own firewall, but other than that...)

Windows 2k is still a great OS. I'd compare it to XP with the classic theme, minus a few bloat features. Personally, I still have Win 98 installed on an old P3.

Yeah Malik goal was great, but the Ovechkin one iz the best!!! Cmon, the guy did a 360 layed on the ice and manage to score with the tip of his hockey stick.

Nothing wrong with Malik goal, which is totally amazing, but Ovechkin goal is the best!!!!

Neither are the best. Of those two, however, I agree Ovechkin's was better, not only because it was such an awesome goal, but also because he had to get by the defense. Malik had a straight shot to the goalie, because it was during a shootout. Even discouting this, I still think Ovechkin's was better, though.
