What is up with all these NEW CARTOONs...They're so lame... I miss the good old days of cartoons

Bring back the good old stuff yo! I miss Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Batman/Superman Adventures, Sonic the Hedgehog, ExoSquad, Biker Mice from Mars, etc...

I wish there was a website or a cartoon network that showed exclusively old cartoons, none of this new crap..

POWERPUFF girls = boring..
Samurai Jack = boring...
All the new cartoons on cartoon network = boring...


What the heck are they tyhinking with these new "DIGITIZED" stuff???

This list isn't even including the decent anime shows.
With the state of television as it is, those shows are about the only things I can actualy stomach to watch. Well, those and Iron Chef.

I miss the Friday night lineup too.

I've thought about this before and I think the issue is that we've matured (well, most of us) while for the most part cartoons have continued to have target markets of 5-14 year olds...give or take a few years. We sit back and exclaim that modern cartoons suck (because we outgrew them) but yet say that *our* cartoons were the best.... But that's mostly just a memory .. we enjoyed them at one time, but even then there were probably older people looking at our stuff and saying the exact same thing.

I'm not even a huge anime fan, but Serial Experiments: Lain was one of the most compeling series of anything I have ever had the fortune to watch.

freakazoid was like the funniest old saturday morning cartoon. the new stuff is pretty good too, except this yugi-oh & pokemon stuff needs to go! digimon was dope though (first and second seasons). action man was pretty freakin awesome too.

and the best cartoon of all time is: x-men (the original one)

what fox did to shaman king was atrocious. license shaman king at start of summer then DUB (horribly) all 64 episodes in 3 months then dump it on poor kids in the fall.

wonder how the evangelion live action movie will turn out, the studio that did the special effect for LOTR is doing eva

download the first episode of x-men (where magneto attacks a chem plant) and the last and you'll see how much animation quality has changed in its 5 year run
