Oh man, that brings back memories! :D I didn't think anyone remembered Starblazers.

The problem that I have here with the OP is that all the cartoons he mentions as the "good old stuff" are the ones I thought were the bad new stuff in my time.

*sigh*

/plucks another gray hair :(

Listen to this man you must, for wise is he in the ways of animation
Wha? The greatest cartoon of all time was the Saturday morning "Bugs Bunny and the Road Runner Hour" that ran on CBS back in the 70s.

'nuff said, lock the thread.

Futurama == the sh!t.
Family Guy == the sh!t.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force ==the sh!t.
Sealab 2021 == the best show ever.

This list isn't even including the decent anime shows.
With the state of television as it is, those shows are about the only things I can actualy stomach to watch. Well, those and Iron Chef.

Spongbob, Powerpuff Girls, and Family Guy are the only semi new cartoons I have ever thought were worth watching. I rarely watch them but I think they are pretty good. Another neat one it Courage the Cowardly Dog.

When I was a kid, I enjoyed watching Transformers, GI Joe, ThunderCats, BraveStar, SilverHawks, Gummy Bears, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, Mask, Superfriends, Inhumanoids, Centurions, and err...what else..He-Man, and that show with the cops who were like cyborgs (although I was a teenager when that was on though...lol). Ahh...the golden years of cartoons they were, yes indeed.

The old ren and stimpy is still my favorite cartoon of all time.

That's why my desktop is an awesome pic from the space madness episode :)

Another great I haven't seen listed was Rocco's Modern Life

The quality of the animations in modern cartoons are noticeably better than most older cartoons. I'm surprised WayneTeK mentioned Exo-Squad. It is far and away my favorite cartoon of all time.

The 90's had a number of "superhero" style cartoons, which just about every male child will enjoy.

X-Men
SpiderMan
Superman
Batman
Exo-Squad
Gargoyles
The Tick

There seem to be more humorous cartoons nowadays, though.

Courage the Cowardly Dog
Futurama
Family Guy
Spongebob
Fairly Odd Parents
Dexter's Laboratory

I can't help but notice the similarities between this and the music thread from earlier in the week. Of course we're going to love the cartoons from our respective generations. I'm a early 90's kid so I'm a big fan of the superhero/violent programming of that era.
