What is this movie ?

I am trying to remember what this movie is called, and it will not come to me.

The movie was about 3 hours long or so, and the devil came to earth, the only people left were in Flagstaff and at the end the hand of god came down. That is all I know of the movie, could be right or wrong.

Anyone know what movie im referring to ?

Yes, it sounds good...but its not. Its like every other Stephen King book made into a TV movie...meaning it sucks. The sole exception was the original Salem's Lot, which was a pretty good movie.

Wasn't it longer than 3 hours? I thought it was a Mini-Series shown over 2-3 nights.

I believe it was originally in two parts. When I viewed it on Sci-Fi a few years ago it was cut into one long film.

Yes, "The Green Mile" was also a pretty good adaptation. I've heard some good things about "The Mist" also, but I haven't seen it yet.

yeah, for a horror writer its odd that only his prison movies made GREAT film adaptations

I loved that story and thought, "Y'know, this would make a good movie" after I finished reading it. I Googled it and found that a subpar TV movie had already been made. 'tis a pity.
