easy, go into your fidelity acct, go into netbenefits as that's for 401k...

go into your current, active 401k plan,

the default tab w/ a pie chart is 'investments'

other tabs: sources, asset classes, year to date change

click the last tab and page refreshes, there it is. ytd change

Investments Sources Asset Classes

I only see those 3 tabs. The 4th you say isn't listed as a tab.

EDIT: Found it, I had to go to the online statement tab.

-3.7% :(

3.2% for the last 6 months though.

401k, 4.2% lifetime, which is only 5 years.
i believe i was down like 25% during the bomb.

roth ira, ytd, is probably around 33%. :)

How do you get the lifetime performance of your 401k, couldn't find it anywhere.

no small caps for me, they are rollercoaster rides too exciting for my heart.
i usually invested in mid caps and international.
occasionally transfer is also required, stocks can't always go up, when it's too high, put majority in interest or bond.

I just spent an hour looking at my 401K after looking at this thread.

I've been here since January, contributing to four funds, and I'm averaging 6.59% return (not counting matching funds from my company). I've shifted off my lowest return fund (1.86%) to something more aggressive.

3.7%. Only being saved by international markets at this point.

Last year was almost 18%. This is with a pretty basic & balanced portfolio managed by Principal.

Edit: Please tell if it's a 401k or IRA as well.

About the same.

It doesn't matter, since 401k funds generally should give 7%+ over the long term....which is the whole purpose of the 401k....long term.

And generally there is little you can do about it as you have only a bag of funds that your company allows yu to invst in.

Be happy, don't worry.,
