I got a Last Jedi "tic tac toe" game with throwable mini bean bags. My mother meant well by it, she knows I like Star Wars. But it was mildly juvenile and not really my thing any more. :p She was kind however and told me if there was anything I didn't like, to do a return and to get something I did.

I got this from my wife. Wasn't sure how to take it:

LOL, someone in our family group got that I think. We tried a new thing this year, you were given a $5 limit to buy a gift (it could be useful or goofy/stupid) and then we played a game where we padded around a couple sets of dice and when you rolled doubles you could pick a gift that hadn't been given or steal someone else's. Once a time limit was reached you got the gift you currently had. It was a lot of fun. People still got gifts from their immediate family so this was just for the party/get-together.

As for me I don't consider any of the presents I got bad/worst so I'm happy!

Alcohol, from relatives that know my wife and I have never been drinkers, and don't drink at all. Not the first time it's happened either.

Maybe that's their subtle way of making sure you have alcohol to serve them at the next family gathering at your place.

Not my worst present, but my mother got me rag cotton socks from llbean. She said the wool and cotton socks were the same price(?), and she didn't know what to get. Naturally, that meant she got the cotton, since I have near militant loyalty to wool :^/ She also insists on getting me long shirts, even after I told her xl is my size, no modifiers. That's an improvement over the lg sizes she used to get, so I probably shouldn't complain.

On a heavier note, she's getting senile. She was never the sharpest knife in the drawer, and the steady diet of bullshit on tv isn't helping. You need to exercise your brain, and hers barely gets out of bed :^/
