I even gave it a full try. When I "finished" the game I realized that it's not even worth looking past the flaws because the story didn't even make the game worth playing. What a rushed waste of 60 bucks. I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone.

thats funny as its gotten near perfect scores from many places

Absolute worst game of the year.

Games may suck but games that are superhyped up that suck are worse.

I hate you Assassin's Creed.

Worst game I played this year? Madden 08 Wii, absolutely awful and full of bugs. Had to return it. The other games I played were all pretty good.

As soon as I finished the game, it became clear to me why they had to plaster advertisements/sponsorships for this game all over the place. This game had no legs on it's own. Sure, the world is pretty nice (except for the fact that the major cities have no distinguishable qualities), but everything else was forgettable. ANY game in the hitman series is better than this piece of dog shit game. At least in hitman, you could change it up a bit, with different methods to kill someone. But for AC, it's just slash and run into a haystack. The side quests are the same - saving citizens, finding 8 million random flags, killing some random templars. Eventually when you come to realize the game's repetitiveness, around the 3-4th assassination, you've already invested time in it's so it becomes a "see it through" mentality. You'd think after dealing with all the bullshit, you'd have a decent ending - I thought wrong. What a terrible fucking ending. It makes Zelda's endings look like modern masterpieces. I don't know if I'm more pissed at the game, for bring a whole new level of suckage to the forefront, or myself, for playing this shitfest all the way through. Damn this game.

Beautiful Katamari is the worst of the series, receiving poor reviews for many sites, such as "Beautiful Katamari does something very wrong--it tarnishhes the series' hallmark simplicity and ease.". It has an average of 74 on metacritic, but I believe most of those points are simply because it is a Katamari game.

The whole attraction to Katamari was how different it was. I found it exhilarating in the original to go from rolling up small legos and batteries to rolling up world monuments, such as the Arc de Triomphe and Pyramids at Giza. Finally, I found myself rolling up countries and continents.

The games quirkiness was unequaled by most easily available games. However, the unusual factor that made the game so great fails to transfer to sequels, as they just add reinforcement to a now old concept. Beautiful Katamari does a great injustice, not only by failing to add anything great, but also by adjusting some key Katamari concepts for the worse.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the worst game I've played in 2007. It would have to be Super Paper Mario :(

I bought Two Worlds this morning as it was on sale for 25$ ... I hope they patch(ed) all those issues plaguing it :(

FF2 was released in 2007. Game Informer Magazine gave it it's No. 1 worse game of 2007.

Played in 2007 or released in 2007? I have not played any games released in 2K7, except maybe LOTRO (which I disliked after a while).

But the worst game that I have played in 2007....
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PS2. Yes, I am a bit late on the GTA series and it is the only one that I have played, but I hated it and wish that I had not spent the ~$7 on it. That is the worst game that I played in 2K7. Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven was a far better game. I can see how some people love GTA, but it is not my thing.

A tie between STALKER (PC)
Did the gameplay / story suck or was it the bugs? I have not played it, but I hear that one was riddled with technical problems.

From what I recall, it got some mediocore reviews too. I haven't played it yet, my friends rave about it though. I'll probably pick it up when its cheaper.

Worst game...hmm. GripShift off the PSN was boring. I played the demo for Bladestorm, thought that sucked pretty bad. Gotta say though, its been a pretty good year for me overall.

Two worlds.... Right when the game started I was in complete awe of how bad it was.

STALKER- I seriously tried to like it. I even got through the start and got some good weapons but I never felt inspired to keep playing. Killing enemies was a chore and to do so effectively was to be cheap as possible. I also don't like having one finger on quick save all the time. The game didn't seem buggy though.

That reminds me I saw at least two dozen copies on the Target clearance shelves for $7.48 ... I got some Ice Tea instead of getting it again for cheaps (I returned my original copy for credit :( )

All of the above. The gameplay was awful, the story was nonsensical, and it was buggy to all hell. For the way it looked, it required FAR too much machine to play. The shooting mechanics were awful, and while I hear its supposed to pick up later in the game, the beginning was so atrocious that I couldnt seem to get that far. It was as if they took laundry list of how not to make a game, and tried to incorporate as many things as possible into a game that on the surface, seemed to have potential. The game took 5 years or something to make and it showed - it was chock full of things that most developers realized were bad ideas 3 years ago.

People seem to have fond memories of it because its really the only legitimate open ended shooter out there right now. When a game comes along and finally does it right, STALKER will be universally remembered as the POS it truly is.

Most Movie Games are crap. So other than that, for a very hyped game, Halo 3 was a big disappointment. Not the game that it could have/should have been. Multiplayer wise. That's what I usually play anyway. I only buy games that I think are going to be good. COD4, RS:V, H3, mostly FPS.

stunt man on the 360

just horrible. its an infuriating game and to top it off the so-so graphics couldnt even run smoothly on the 360, damn thing jerked around at sub 20fps in alot of places. terrible

i never even bothered looking at transformers.... i looked at how quickly it came out after the film and said to myself that game will be a down right shocking pile of sweaty bollocks.

i have to say i think test drive unlimited was the most disappointing. they had a great recipe there but saddly it seems they had a retard in the kitchen. the game got pretty stagnant pretty quick and id end up only playing it again just because they released a new car pack.

they could of really done something with it, instead Atari let it wilt and die. it wasnt a terrible game (wonky physics and car handling aside) it just never felt like the game it should of been
