Knife - $30
Cell - $100
Watch - ~$200

Nothing else is worth much, so that comes to $1000.

i'm sure you aren't referring to me, but i couldn't live without my MWave Leatherman at my belt at all times. i must use it at least 15 to 20 times a day.

Actually, I was thinking about your leatherman. I have the SuperTool 200. It's a monster. I don't carry it around w/ me, just use it at home for small projects and stuff. Man, that locking action makes flipping out anything a btich.

i do PC/Network support for about 30 small business. i'm on the road 3 days a week. i used to carry around a full toolbox. now i just leave it in my car. i find i can get 95% of all repairs on calls with the tools on just my leatherman.

Yeah, I carried a "Tinker" Swiss Army Knife around for ~14 years, and even that was enough to do most PC work I needed to do (not as a job, but might as well have been). Not ideal, by any means, but very handy. Just stopped carrying it last year, because I didn't need it that often, and wanted to carry less stuff in my pockets.

I always carry a Pelican M6 Lithium tactical flashlight, and occasionally I carry a 2 D-cell Maglite.

$5-500 cash
$10 USB pen drive (It's beat to hell and chewed on)
$10000 development copy of custom database software solution on pen drive. Fortunately, being a development copy, it looks very dirty and a lot like junk.
$15 in keys that will give you access to $1500 in vehicles and $1.5mil worth of stuff.
$50 ID (replacement cost) that tells you where to go to steal cars and stuff.
$200 cell phone (I GOT PAID $50 for buying it, though)
$3 knife.

Hmm, that doesn't look like a skull-cracking flashlight. :(

I don't need a flashlight to crack skulls. I have a 21" ASP baton, which serves only as a whoopass stick.

Yeah, the police around here have those retractable batons. Badass little things. Pretty sure they're standard by now for most forces, eh?

Yes they are. Nice & compact on the belt + 21" of steel when extended =

Gerber knife: $35
Mini Maglite cut to 1AA size with 3W LED pill: $99
Casio watch: $18
Belt (some days): $30
Wallet: $5-$400
Soon, a USB key/MP3 player: $150

So... $187 total, plus whatever I have in my wallet. It'll be ~$332 once I get the MP3 player.

Don't carry it for self-defense. Would take me about three seconds max to dig it out and open it though.

same here. ive been favoring a butterfly knife lately because the one i have is quite sharp, and has stayed sharp while my other pocket knives need to be honed if theyre used regularly; but its a little bulky if im wearing jeans. its either the butterfly or a smaller liner-lock knife though.

$10-$20 per knife.
that and a leatherman micra $20
$10 wallet
$5-$25 cash
carmex and some halls cough drops
cellphone that was free with activation, and insured, and a year old so i dont count it as really valuable.

so $35-$75 on me. I dont get much use out of the micra since if i need a tool i usually need a larger one; i occassionally carry a scrade multi-tool but not often, i dont like alot of bulk in my pockets even though id use it at work often, and i dont like wearing things on a belt because it inevitably gets in the way.

How heavy is it? I always wondered about those...it seemed that if the end of it wasn't heavy enough, it wouldn't work very well.

Then again, I'm not the one whose JOB it is to beat people up, so I figured I'd ask you:p
