What is the tv show "24" about?

If I remember correctly, its an entire season's worth of a show in one 24 hour period. Kinda like a long movie. I've heard some people say its really good though.

Keifer Sutherland is a counter-terrorism expert trying to prevent the assassination of a presidential candidate (in season 1). Good action drama, with a gimmick that each of the 24 episodes takes place in real time -- the whole season is one very long day.

Start with season 1 on DVD. Watching on DVD makes more sense anyway since you have no commercials and can watch a couple of episodes a night instead of one a week.

Got Netflix?

It's 8:30p here and I'm watching the season four premier. I haven't seen season two or three, but I borrowed season one from Bockchow and loved it. Granted I'm only a half hour into it and the first part of the first episode of season one sucked too, but I got a feeling this season's not going to be all that great. I hope I'm wrong.

I want to see more of Kim 😀

My local fox station doesn't broadcast anything in HDTV. They have a HD channel through my cable company, but all they do is streatch out the normal 4:3 image to 16:9. Because of my local stations mental retardation, I'll just wait a year for netflix to get season 4.

Yeah because you're too good to watch it on regular tv?

ELISHAHAS!DS#@!@! 🙂
what's !DS ?

In her real life, I know she's getting married, but come on... she's still an actress and I'm sure she didn't just walk off. They just wrote her and Chase off the show. "They are living together in Valencia".

I was at my gf's house, waiting for her to get out of the shower, so I turned on the TV and I guess 24 was on at that moment. I was too lazy to change the channel, so I watched it for 15 minutes or so. Then my gf came downstairs and turned it off, and I couldn't have cared less. It was the one of the most boring shows I've ever seen; bad acting, forced conversations, a complete lack of facial expressions and vocal intonations.... I wasnt impressed.

If you watch the show from the beginning and watch a full one-hour episode, your impression may be different.

This season seems good to me, though bauer seems unusually stupid so far.

It's not HBO quality television, but it's better than most. I think it has a similar appeal to alias, but is a little less goofy.

lmao! You are basing your opinion on 15 minutes? Would you break up w/ your g/f after you first met her, and she was boring for the first 15 minutes of your first date?

IT's about this guy. He meets another guy who knows this girl that the other guy also knows. The girl has a friend that has a kid that's in the 4th grade and her teacher knows this guy who wants to do bad things. So, anyway the first guy wants to stop the bad guy from doing the bad thing, but he doesn't know who he is, so he asks some other guys to help him. These other guys talk on the phone and drive around the city, and so does the bad guy. Now here's the twist: the bad guy knows some other bad guys and a really bad woman. They all get together to do even worse bad things. So, now the first guy has to stop a whole bunch of people. It reuires a lot of time to explain in detail, so they decided to make 24 one hour episodes.

It's about these people who never go to the toilet.
They also act in a show called "24" which actually lasts around 18 hours (because of adverts), and is a load of overhyped crap.

Hell yeah! I demand instant gratification! If I'm not completely hooked 30 seconds into something, it is obviously utter drivel!

The premise of the show seemed all right enough, but the acting and the way the scenes were cut and edited just didn't interest me. I'm sure it's a pretty good show, but from what I saw, the little idiosyncracies turned me off.

He just realizes that TV, in general, sucks and isn't worh the time. Kidna like poosting in ATOT. You do it to kill time. jsut face it. That's the fact. Nothing here is "needed". Same with TV. Watching Poker on TV or people building bikes. Not really needed.
