What is the smallest denomination coin you would pick up?

If you were to see a coin on the street, what is the smallest denomination you are willing to pick up?

I make about $32/hour, if I'm walking on the street chances are I'm off, I consider my time off as being worth double, so $64/hour. I figure it would take about 10 seconds to pickup, well maybe less, but let's just say 10 seconds. So if I figure out how much 10 seconds is worth, it's 8 cents after taxes, perhaps a bit less after other deductions. So while a dime would return profit, it's barely worth it, I would not bother. A quarter on the other hand, that is worth it. So I would pickup a quarter or higher.

I'd pick up a penny. There's been plenty of times a penny would have come in useful to me. Plus, 42 more of them, and I can get a taco.

For me, a quarter, but for different reasons than bad math. Maybe it's because I spent too much time in arcades as a youth, but a quarter seems like real money. It can (or at least it used to be able to) buy something, even if that something is another game of Asteroids. And once in a while I'll pump some quarters into a vending machine, so they seem like they have a purpose. I honestly can't remember the last time I actually used a dime or a nickel, so I don't want to carry them around in my pocket.

I pretty regularly throw pennies in the trash. And by regularly I mean the rare time I am paying with cash and get change back.
