I have a 7800GT with VIVO. On the VIVO dongle there is S-Video IN and S-Video OUT. I assume the S-Video OUT is for running the display to a TV. But what is the S-Video IN for?
Can I run my satellite reciever into the S-VIdeo IN? And if so, do I run the S-Video OUT to the monitor as well? I have a Dell LCD with multiple display inputs. Ive tried running the S-Video of the reciever into the S-VIdeo IN of the VIVO dongle and then connecting the S-Video OUT to the monitor but when I switch to S-Video on the monitor I only get a lower quality version of what is showing on the DVI output which I am using for my main display input to the monitor.
If I in fact can run the satellite reciever into the S-Video IN of the VIVO dongle then how do I view the satellite on the monitor? Someone said to get the WDM drivers from nVidia which I did and I installed them but where do I go from here? Connecting the S-Video OUT of the VIVO dongle into the monitor doesn't work with or without the WDM drivers installed.
I have tried a direct S-Video connection between the satellite reciever to the monitor but the picture was really crappy. This is why I am wondering if I can run the satellite through the video card to get a better picture.
Im completely lost on this.
If nothing else, someone just please explain what the S-Video IN is for on the VIVO dongle.
Thanks in advance.
