$45 for a filet at Ruth's Chris and Morton's. I think their regular size is 12 oz?

I think Japanese Kobe beef is banned for some reason, you're most likely paying for an American raised Japanese cow.

Hm, my dad payed a couple of grand to bring back a bunch of Caribou steaks. He then payed a couple of grand more to bring back a bunch of Elk steaks. :p Divide ~2000/~40 steaks makes $50 bucks a pop!

Who do you guys like better, Mortons or Ruth Chris? I've eaten at both exactly one time each, and to me, IT'S A TIE! Both are awesome!

I prefer Ruth's Chris over Mortons. I just love that sizzling plate of butter in front of me

I think I paid about $100 for a steak for 2 at Peter Luger's in Brooklyn.

Also got the fried onions and potatoes...it was yummy.

I would never go spend huge money on a steak, at a restaraunt, unless someone else was buying. The most expensive I've had, when employer or vendor was paying, was like $100, with two sides, appetizer and wine.

When I have steak, which is rare these days, man do I have steak. I'll get two for myself, nice big T-Bones, or ribeyes.

Damn, aren't large crustaceans chewy? I once cooked a live lobster that was larger than my cat. Bought it at the local asian market. Worst lobster I have ever had.
