It's okay to eat it. It's just that there are better foods out there. So if you want to be in the best shape, then you should stay away from fast food completely.

yeah totally. You should see my aunt. She used to only eat at mcdonalds EVERDAY and get their junk salads and mc chicken sandwhiches. She was so fat and unhealthy.
She should've stayed at home and made some quality beef and gravy. Fast food is bad for you!

Mcchickens are so bad for you. I consumed about 2100 calories last time I was at mcdonalds.

Yup eating 5 mc chickens with fries is totally bad for you. Seriously.

4 mcchickens, 1 fries, 1 mozarella sticks, 2 sodas. How come it's so bad for you? Cause it's all fried.

It's so bad for you because you ate so fvcking much of it. You should change your name to dumbazz. Much more fitting.

Wasn't that much food, 2100 calories isn't that horribly high, that's a little under your daily value of around 2500 calories.

It doesn't fvcking matter what you eat. Your body doesn't discriminate against foods. As long as you get the right balance of nutritions, you'll be fine, whether if you get it from salads, tofu, protein shakes, fast food, pizza, fried chicken.
Go to mcdonalds everyday of your fvcking life, and only get a salad and a mcchicken, and you'll be as healthy as anyone else.

It doesn't matter what liquid I pour into my fuel tank of my car either, right?

The human body is far more complex than a car.

That was the dumbest counter-analogy I've ever heard in my life.

yeah, 'dumb' to most Americans who are far too ignorant about nutrition to realize how much food affects you.

I'm not saying that McDonalds/fast food is good for you.

I'm just simply stating that your counter-analogy was idiotic. Don't assume something I didn't say.

My understanding about food is that fatty food is okay in moderation, he's definatly regretting eating so much sh!t, he had trouble breathing or something like that today, bad sign?

Your analogy is like saying you can eat dirt and piss and and run fine.

Well, according to Super Size Me, eating fast food 5 times a day fvcks up your liver 'cause of all the fat. Trouble breathing? Yeah, he better stop and go back to healthy food like granola bar and water.

Actually my analogy said the opposite, that what you eat makes a huge difference.

umm thats prob more than you should have in a lifetime. rent the movie supersize me.

do some research on teh show. what he did was bs.

no matter who you are if you eat fast food every meal and make sure to eat it all (plus supersized if asked) you are going to get sick. BUT that also happens to any food you are eating.

i was a athlete in high school and college. heck i was in wrestling for a long time at low weights.

I would eat fast food about 2-3 times a week (even in training). i never had trouble keeping my weight limit. of course i was not sitting on my ass eating McDonald's and not working out.

such food is OK in moderation. trouble is many people have it every day and then do not exercises. I don't care who you are that is not good for your body. having 2000 calories at one meal then eating 2 other normal meals is not a good idea.

I eat fast food everyday for breakfast and lunch. Have for the last 2 years.

I've lost about 40 lbs in that span of time.

I physically work so I can eat anything I want and not gain any pounds. At my last checkup, I was praised for my excellent health and I qualified for the lowest rate on my life insurance.

I don't exercise. I get enough exercise from my work.

Yes.. if you ate that much food ANYWHERE, you'd get sick.
Fast food has a bad rap because the majority of their foods are fat, salty, and sugary. However, there are plenty of fast foods that are not like that. Common sense says that if eating a walnut salad and a grilled chicken sandwhich from mc donalds is not unhealthy.
People just love to put out labels left and right with no objective thought.

yeah, usually when I eat 2000 calories worth of food in one sitting, it's because I didn't eat much in the current day. I also noticed over the course of two years since I started running, my lung capacity increased dramatically. I used to only hold my breath 20 seconds tops, I did 2.5 minutes last time, is this typical?

IMO you should always try to avoid it. Sometimes you gotta eat and there's just no other choice.

That's true. I never knew people were so seperated about this issue of health and food.

Oh boy another thread where the self-proclaimed health and fitness experts come in and spew forth mis-information on a topic they have proven time and time again on this forum to know nothing about.

We have what, that one licensed dietician on this forum who does it for a living? Everyone else is barely a laymen, at best.

This post made me realize what a waste of time atot is for anything. I'm deleting the link from my favorites, hopefully I don't need to waste so much time in the future.

Personally, I'd avoid fast food as much as I can, especially if I were an athlete. Although sometimes, it can be quite impossible to find something that's not fast. In that case, I avoid restaurants that have a lot of processed stuff (McD's, etc.).
