Good grief, you guys have dirty minds. He's a touch soft in the tummy, which is must be genetics-based because he eats well and dances/works out 6 hours/day. Fine by me, makes for a better pillow.

i know but are you happy with a guy who is only average? i wouldnt be ok with that...i would struggle with her looks...so you should make sure you can be happy with an "average" guy.....

Focusing on some ideal of perfection as the end all = *plastic* people. I like a few "flaws". Like one tooth that is slightly out of line from the rest. It makes the whole package much more real and beautiful. That's what I mean by plastic (and not necessarily plastic surgery). Plastic = fake. Each man is different and can be PHYSICALLY sexy in his own way. When you throw personality into the mix, even an average or "ugly" man can be devastatingly attractive.

Hmm, well there are lots of things I find attractive about girls, but we're talking about the most important feature so I'd have to say fun loving/intelligent/nice personality. The world is full of mean, shallow, dumb as a truck load of bricks people, both guys and girls. Finding someone who's gray matter I'm attracted to is much, much, harder than finding someone who I physically like.

And just so you don't think I'm just BSing, no, I wouldn't date someone I found unattractive just because they are nice. But a 7 with a brain beats a 10 with no brain in my book.

That's the kind of impression I got.

My prof and one of my colleagues at school told me that after they heard about my term paper. I am arguing that I don't see a dominant "Confucianism" or in fact any dominant strands of thought in the Han dynasty so to label it with anything only misleads or distorts what appears to be eclectic-syncretic development of different schools of thought. Do I make any sense?

of course, that's why you have to look at religious/philiosphical developments in complete historical and anthropological context. In all movements (even the development of technical systems) it is the same thing but we want so badly to categorize and label it

I suppose that can happen between two guys, but if I am talking to a girl about something nontrivial it is exciting for me because it's a rare thing. So even if the discussion is about chess and it's not really that great of a discussion, it's still way, way better than talking to a girl about how her sister broke up with nine guys and she has a hair appointment at 6pm and she thinks she's fat and and stupid...
