btw - rolling the windows down does not impact fuel efficiency that much. I watched the tach as I rolled the window up and down, and it didn't vary more than one notch. 75rpm is nothing to worry about on a scale of 9,000.
That's because you pressed the gas a bit harder to keep your speed up. It's a subconscious thing, hard to avoid. Try filling your tank all the way up, driving a certain number of miles at 70MPH with the windows up, then filing up again and trying with the windows down. You'll notice a few MPG difference for sure.
As for the most inefficient situation:
how about the
shuttle transporter going 70 mph in the left lane with the windows rolled down and the AC up

yes, I know it can't go that fast, but just imagine...if it gets less than .007 mpg in "normal" use...
