Like the title says. I'm curious if there is an online "lifestyle" maagazine/website devoted to gun enthusiasts and hunters.

Probably ar15.com would be the closest. Plenty of armchair elitists there too. 😉 It is a good resource though if you ignore the bullshit.
 
i would say ar15 is more specialized to specific guns, obviously the ar--15 is one.

there's a lot of gun specific forums that has sub forums for other stuff, but are mainly known for their specific gun forum.

funny, every bersa thunder owner i've ever seen loves theirs. i have one, never broke on me. not my particular favorite gun though.

besides, he asked about a gun forum equivalent, not an actual gun. in that case it would have to be something expensive and pretentious

I think it would be one of those really fancy automatic nerf guns that are modeled after real machine guns. It perfectly represents the gap between the crap people say on here and reality.

There are lots of big forums that exploded because of a model's popularity. Glocktalk for one, xdtalk, ar15.com, 1911forum, m1911.org, sigforum, hkpro and so on. Then you have the generic ones like highroad and locale specific ones like northeastshooters and calguns.net. Then you have the type of firearm ones like rimfirecentral and shotgunworld.

Finally, you have ones that focus more on the specific sports like snipershide and brianenos.
