Nibbled the 300kph line on my ZX9R back in the day. Probably was actually 20kph less that that, but I just wanted to see if I could hit the triple cent. 🙂

~130-140 in an SRT-4 Neon.

I topped out 3rd @ 8000 rpm then went into 4th for a bit... I wasn't looking down so this is just a guess.

Automatic?

Unless you have some seriously tall gearing you shouldn't hit 130 in 3rd at 8k. 😕 At least I wouldn't think so.

125 when I had my Boxster S, 120 in my current car (G35 coupe). Both on turnpike just for a few seconds with no other cars around. It's a blast doing it in a car that can handle it.

133 in my 98 acura going to vegas. stupidest piece of driving I had ever done since my GF (now my wife) was in the car sleeping. If I had an accident and something happened....I'm just glad nothing happened.

+140ish in a 1981 Camero Z28
I was playing cat-and-mouse with a Ferrari. Then after a few mins he got bored with me and gunned it 🙁

140+ in this:

Very stable at those speeds. Its the other drivers that always make me slow down...you just can't predict how stupid people are.

A bit over 100 in a Stoker boat.

This is not my video, but it's the same type of boat and a pretty good depiction of a speed run. Around 0:17 you can hear them start to lean on the throttle, and it looks like they get it moving pretty good but I don't think it's at the hundred mark. (Friend has a HUGE engine on his, just huge.)
  • Sit with your feet on the chair you are sitting in with your knees up.
  • Put a high power fan in front of your face.
  • Start spraying your face with a plant mister.
  • Turn your speakers all the way up, and then a little more.
  • If you have a friend in the room, have them lay behind your chair and rabbit-kick the bottom of it throughout the video...as fast as they can go.
  • Watch the video, full screen, with your face about 6" from it.

OK, now watch the video.

120 mph along a super long stretch of road in a desert area somewhere on the west coast, with a mazda 626. It seemed like it could go faster but I think there was a speed limiter set in the car's computer at 120. Also it wasn't that scary since the road itself was so straight, and there wasn't any distinguishing features on the side, mostly just scrub brush and dried up plants, and hardly any cars on the road for miles ahead.
