Many Queen songs.

I cant believe no one mentioned Aerosmiths "I dont wanna miss a thing".
Probably because you cant really hear them. But they are visable in the music video 🙂

I think "Human" by Metallica had violin in it... 🙂.
I think it's acually "- Human" (as in minus human).

Anyway, its on their S&M 2 disk set, tons of great songs (and two new ones, -Human is one) with a full-symphony playing along with them.

Some of the songs are amazing played like that. The Outlaw Torn is probably the best song on the album.

Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream
I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed

Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear
But not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear
Oh, oh.
oh

Oh oh
Oh

Oh, baby Iv been flying... mama, there ain't no denyin'
I've been flying, ain't no denyin', no denyin'

All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land
Trying to find, trying to find where I've been.

Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream
Heed the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream
My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon, I will return again
Sure as the dust that floats high in June, when movin' through Kashmir.

Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails, across the sea of years
With no provision but an open face, along the straits of fear
Ohh.

When I'm on, when I'm on my way, yeah
When I see, when I see the way, you stay-yeah

Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, when I'm down...
Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, well I'm down, so down
Ooh, my baby, oooh, my baby, let me take you there

Let me take you there. Let me take you there

Not a lot of violin, but Conquistador by Procol Harum

A bit off topic, but if you like that, Procol Harum does back ground vocals for Sting on Desert Rose.

And it doesn't really qualify as a rock song, but Unfinished Sympathy by Massive Attack has excellent use of strings.

Ah yes, you are correct. I forgot a long time ago I just renamed it to "Human" to make the filenaming simpler.

The only song I could take by ELO was "Love is Like Oxygen"

I don't knowwhat the best was, so many to choose from.
That is from the group Sweet.

Rodney Mullens has this dope song "awesome God" and at the end of it they bust out the violins . but only for like two seconds.. i wish it were a lot longer.. but its a dope song.. i get pumped when i hear it.

November Rain - Guns N Roses

I want to say there was a version of "Live and Let Die" with violins that was good as well.
