What is the BEST memory for the DFI NF-4 - looking for 2GB kit?

I impulse bought the OCZ Platinum 3200 EL (non Rev-2) when I was buying my system components. I found out since then that they uses pure CRAP IC's that max out at 205 FSB on o/c'ing and cant take more than 2.7V. Very disappointing. I'm planning on RMA'ing them and getting some real memory - something overclockable with decent timings. Any suggestions on a good 2GB kit?

Not much more than Corsair or Rosewill value ram with crap timings:

G.SKILL Extreme Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) 2-3-2-5 - Retail - $185

Review

As a side note:
Advantages of DDR600 for A64 Systems

Basically unless you can maintain low timings (ie. 2-3-2-5, 2-2-2-5, there is little benefit in getting DDR600 memory). So you shouldn't worry too much about overclocking HT and memory; just use a memory ratio instead. The reason why I linked G.Skill is because for about $10-20 extra you can get excellent timings vs. CAS3. Paying more than $200 for 2 gigs of ram is hardly worth the 3% performance increase over 2-3-2-5 DDR400 ram.

That's what I have. Rock solid at default voltage.

Yup, these are excellent. Mine are currently at DDR500 @ 3-3-2-5-1T @ 2.7v. They will do 3-3-2-5-1T @ DDR520 @ 2.8v....

I'd definitely get these if I was to upgrade to two gigs of memory. You can't beat the price for outstanding timings.

I really like the Patriot 1GB sticks. I think you can pick them up for around $200 and they're rated for 2-3-2-5 at ddr400 speeds. I'm not sure if the new batches are as good but my sticks will oc to ddr520 speeds.

I have the OCZ Platinum 3200 EL also but haven't opened it. How do I know if it's good or bad?

Well that's the thing. They are recommended on the DFI forums for their NF4 boards (very compatible) but only at default settings. They can not overclock worth a damn - not even to 205 which is pathetic. Supposedly cant handle more than 2.7V. They se fairly unimpressive no-name IC's. Thing is I'm not sure there is much better out there to be had in the 2GB kit market. That g.skill stuff seems pretty good though.

You don't know what you are talking about. I have the 2 x 1gb OCZ Platinum EL sticks. I have them running at 230 right now. At 2.5-3-3-7. They use infineon chips I am pretty sure. They arent the best overclockers , but they arent the worst either.

I was looking over on the OCZ forums at extremesystems and the OCZ rep gave me that information. I forget what IC's they use...something like Winhec...nothing you ever heard of before.

The 3200 EL Plat 2GB kit uses Infineon chips. I'm suprised that you can't get more than 205 out of them. Most kits I've seen get about 225-230 at 2.5-3-3 1T timings.
