current job of course

yours is even better, working at home 😉
well we lucked out cause the building closed... we actually had to get dressed every morning for 2.5 years before that !

I heard you grabbed a 18.1 LCD too...hehe.
They gave me a 21" CRT... don't be starting rumors now. 😉

Current one.

Got it at the end of my freshman year of high school.

Medical transcription.

Boring as hell, but it's work at home, I make 2-3x as much as everybody else my age, and work whenever I want 🙂

Downside being, I don't get paid to come into work and slack :/

Paid by the job and not the hours.

$8 an hour is good pay?

not really, it is better than minimum wage which is $5.15 in here. also, I can have enough time to work for another full time job.

I had a lot of internships throughout undergrad and between grad schools:

AT&T Microelectronics - 1 summer, programming for probe and test
AT&T/Lucent Microelectronics - 2 summer, programming for lithography
Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector - 1 summer, product development
Lucent Technologies - 1 summer, installing/qualifying steppers for lithography
Intel - 1 summer, process integration

I was resident coordinator at my university apartment complex for a couple of years, and I had a couple of grocery jobs.

Now, I'm a research scientist at a smaller lab doing semiconductor reseach.

BUT, the best job I ever had was during one of the summers that I was working at AT&T/Lucent in Orlando. I had a night job working the doors at a techno dance club/bar at Disney's Pleasure Island. It didn't pay much at all, and I slept like three or four hours a night before the day job started, but it was BY FAR the most awesome job ever.

The excuse, "I'm on vacation," allows people (women) to do just about anything.

I wish I had a second life/youth to completely waste while working at Disney.

developer at UBS.

casual attire, i would wear jeans and a t-shirt.
flexible hours, i used to get in at 10am and leave at 6pm.
managers and other developers were all cool.
yearly christmas party was huge with lots of food and alcohol.
raises and bonuses every year.

I usually work 6-8 hours a week, but have lots of extra work ATM since it's holiday
My current job is boring as hell but it's good because:
I study, and I can decide when to work.
Lots of extra work in holidays.
Lots of extra work where I do nothing but sitting in a room ie. I can study while getting paid.
Superb Lunch (Lots of salads, sandwices, hot meal of the day, fresh fruit etc. free Soda, Juice)
Nice colleagues.
I can copy free including color copying
Lots parties and events with free food and drinks
$20 an hour ($10 after taxes)

Favorite job I had was delivery/clerk for a medical supplies retail store. The pay wasn't so hot, $10 an hour, but it's where I met my ex gf, who was a nymphomaniac - she worked there. When they needed a second delivery guy & asked if I knew anyone, I told a friend who they ended up hiring. The atmosphere was great, and the store itself never did much business, so not many annoying customers to deal with. Boss was youngish and really cool, wasn't the type to watch over your shoulder & make sure you were busy - which, considering how little business the store did, we never were. So if I was working in the store (about half the time) I'd just get it on all day with my gf in a back room. If I was delivering, my bud & I would hit up malls, watch movies, etc. in between deliveries. Like most stores that don't sell much though, they went out of business 🙁

The job I have right now is pretty cool. No bosses for over a month now and they won't be back till the 27th. Also I have alot of freedom to wear whatever I want. It's also a job where I'm learning things that I'm interested in so it's all good.

i worked at a parking garage on campus.
that was an alright job. i sat in the booth, taking money.
some people were complete jerks, but you run into that with any job involving the general public.

i would do crossword puzzles, bring my guitar, listen to the radio, watch the ducks from the pond across the way procreate.

Hmm...I like my Job Because

1) I get paid well

2) I can do my job from home

3) I goto work whenever I want and leave whenever I want.

What I don't like

1)Boss is a major Douchebag

2) On Call 24 X 7

3)Boring

Computer guy at a law firm. Working about 20-30hrs a week.

What I like:
1. Have my own office.
2. Surrounded by hot secretaries.
3. Do my homework in my office.
4. Surrounded by hot secretaries.
5. Free snacks and drinks.
6. Surrounded by hot secretaries.

Did I mention that 95% of the staff there are female? And all of them are HOT!?!

Electronics Tech for a gaming company, did nothing but fix hardware for video casino games... was great because Midway games was right next door, and got games from them REALLY cheap, and I got to play games all day testing the hardware to make sure it worked.

My current job is the best job I have ever had, corporate accounting.

The most fun job for me was working as inventory control in a warehouse. Stuff would go missing and I always blamed it on the manager who was just fired. The physical inventory often had very little in common with the listings in the computer. And our daily meetings were often like pulling teeth, there was so much animosity in that place. It was a total blast to work there. A big portion of my current friends circle originated from that job over six years ago.
