I have a friend who....ah screw it...I have myself who:

Has 400 dollars. Wants the best cooling system he can get. Wants the cooling system case to have a window to show off what 400 bucks bought. I need some advice on what kind of case+cooling system I can get. There 4 options i see are:

Ln2 Cooling: Liquid nitrogen...hehehe
Dry Ice Cooling: CO2 might be safer than liquid nitrogen
Water Cooling: The almighty H20
Air: Eh....not too exciting...

I looked through some overclocking databases and saw that a 1.6GHZ Northwood can get past 3GHZ. I want to do that! Who can help me with my noble overclocking quest?

Can you give me a link to a good place to get this kind of stuff from?

Which watercooling components do i need?
CPU cooler, Video Card Cooler, Hard drive cooler, Motherboard cooling....?

How difficult is the water cooling stuff to install?

If I do get a good Lian-Li case and water cooling equipment; would i be able to expect an overclock past 3GHZ on a 1.6A?

As a sidenote, which motherboard is best for overclocking?

Tom's Hardware just did a video review about a pretty high-end water cooling setup that costs a little under $400.

Here is the link:

I visited the like that THG gave and apparently a innovatek p4 water cooler wil be in next week. I'll probably go for that. Will a Lain-li alluminum case help me. It will cose me like 200 bucks with power supply. Is it worth it? Also, how many watts power supply do i need?

All users can equip their PC systems with a highly efficient water cooling system in just a few steps, and with a little extra pocket change.
The entire set costs $199. The larger set 2 comes with the identical components, except with a higher-performance CPU element. The price for this set is $229. An optional hard disk cooler can be had for $45, a graphics chip cooler for $35, and a chipset cooler for $29. The flow meter costs $45.
The authors must earn quite a bit more than the average ATer...or still live with their parents :Q
I am by no means "poor" and I still don't consider $229-$400 to be pocket change.

Both actually. I have a good summer job as well as my own profitable website and I also have no expenses because I'm still in high school...

So far this is the cheapest that I've found...It is from http://www.sharkacorp.com (the site that THG recommended):

LianLi PC-65 w/ BlowHole ($159.95 each)
$159.95

Innovatek innovaSET3 ($249.95 each)
$249.95

Cold Cathode Light Kit - 12" ($27.95 each)
$27.95

Total:
$437.85
Tax: calculated at
checkout
Shipping: calculated at

If anyone can recommend a site where I can get something as good or better for less, please tell me. General comments are also appreciated. (This is for a Northwood based system)

I meant the authors of the Tom's Hardware article ;)

I'm probably going to piece together something from stuff at BECooling.
I'm tempted to build a watercooled dual-processor setup just for the fun of it. I could put the SMP to some good use but the watercooling would probably be a little over the top! :D
