what is the appeal of guitar hero?!

Cue the guitar elitists and "h4rdc0re" gamers into this thread ripping on the game. Some people really would rather not learn the instrument and just want something to kill time with, and if they enjoy it, then what's wrong with that? Apparently, A LOT of people enjoy it going by how many actually go out and buy all the stuff to play it. Hell, I have rockband and gh3 and I play guitar. It's just pure fun to play with your friends sometimes. What are you going to do, tell me to get all my friends to learn an instrument and get good enough so we can play in a band? Please. Only one other friend that I know of plays drums and guitars and yeah we play together sometimes. But hey, sometimes when we're over we just wanna play Hysteria for the hell of it. Get over yourself. It's jsut a GAME.
