What college? Did he graduate? If so what degree?
From
here,:
"Combs majored in business administration at Howard University, producing weekly dance parties and running an airport shuttle service while attending classes. He dropped out to pursue an internship at Uptown Records, which led to a talent director position. Combs rapidly rose to the level of vice president and had success producing several key artists for Uptown, but left the company in the early 1990s."
The fact that you didn't even know one of the biggest hiphop producers went to college shows your ignorance. His entrepreneurial drive was already shining in college, making money doing an airport shuttle for college kids. Let me guess, you were a dishwasher in college. Consequently, I highly doubt you could ever become the talent director at any record company, let alone the vice president with some of the ignorant comments you've made.
So why does he insist on rapping? He sucks, not to mention the groups he produces suck too.
Wow, for someone who sold 3.4 million copies of his first solo album he sucks! Oh and producing artists Mariah Carey, New Edition, Method Man, Babyface, TLC, Boyz II Men, Li?l Kim, SWV, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, and Notorious B.I.G all suck too, right? He wasn't named ASCAP?s Songwriter of the Year in 1996 for nothing.
Like I said, success is relative. I have a lot of success and I am still not done. I am climbing up every day.
Wow, your 401K must be going great if you think you're going to be worth 500 million someday.
They can't. Unless you think every high school whiteboy from suburbia who makes up the bulk of PD and JZ's audiences have sold drugs and are now hip-hop producers. How can anyone relate to that? How many people have lived that life? Who wants to listen to someone brag about their achievements? Like I said, music for little kids and people without minds of their own.
Wow, so now you have to sell drugs to be able to relate? Your dad has to die when you're young to relate ("lived that life"), as Diddy's dad was murdered and Jay-Z's dad OD'd? Which way is it? To say white suburban people can't relate is a load of BS, drug usage is RAMPANT in the suburbs and so is divorce.
To summarize: you don't have to like the music to recognize success, and to say that intelligent people don't listen to a certain type of music (music for little kids and people without minds) has no factual backing whatsoever. Intelligence is comprised of many different things and it's sad that you can only equate it to "college".
