I'd say that is unique to your area, that BS doesn't happen here.
Both UPS and FedEx deliver the packages when they arrive, no holds.
And standard FedEx delivers on Saturday here.
FedEx deliveries here are normally a day ahead of their predicted date given when shipped, UPS is on time and USPS is on time or no more than 1 day later than the predicted delivery date.
These are not exceptions, but the norm here !
Again, the policies of the delivery companies obviously vary depending on the area of the country you are in and that area's management policies of the company.
i'm in nj. that's been my experience. from what i know FedEX ground is contracted out. the other stuff is FedEX corporate.
