Homogenized milk is just whole or raw milk that has had the fat globules broken down so that they are slower to rise to the top to form a layer of cream.

You hosers make me laugh. Americans are used to getting milk from grocery stores, where it is all homogenized. As opposed to the traditional Canadian way which is sticking your head under a cow. Cheers.

i used to work in the Frozen/Dairy section of a grocery store. the half gallons of milk would come in cardboard boxes and would have stickers on the side with the type of milk it was. well the whole milk cases had the sticker that said the brand name: Kemps and then under that it had in big red letters "HOMO". well we took a box cutter and cut off the brand name. and we took the sticker and stuck it on this guys back that we worked with. (mean i know...but come on, i was 17). that guy walked around with that sticker on his back for a good two hours while stocking shelves in the main frozen section. one of the other co-workers finally told him. it was so damn funny though!!!

I thought milk came in bags in the States too :) Oh well, I'll just add it to the list:

Bagged milk, two-fours, and poutine.

The only milk in a bag I've ever seen is for milk dispensers in restaurants.

It used to awhile back. In the 70's, my father worked for a local dairy here in Utah. They sold their milk in bags. I remember it vividly. :)

Whole Milk: 3.25%
2% Milk: 2% (duh)
Skim Milk: 1%

I drink whole milk becase it tastes better and because I'm trying to keep weight on. Mostly for the first reason though.

Interesting, I've seen something like "ultraskim" (not the right term but close) that was less than 1%, but only rarely. Another odd Midwestern quirk I guess. Still, once it's below 2% you may as well be drinking water IMO so I don't pay much attention to it.

My browser doesn't do spaces, it looks like that the 2 pictures have spaces in the file name... I'm at work on an antiquated netscape browser. so I can't see your floppy bags of milk ...

<< It comes from gay cows right? Seriously, Homo milk (at least for sure here in Canada) is what they call 3.75% MF milk. >>

I really hope you're talking about lesbian cows and not gay cows, because otherwise I have this awful vision of a massive bukkake session...

We have the same thing in the Czech Republic. VERY annoying, it's sooooo much better to have it in plastic, I don't know why we have it in bags...
