Reading this, I wonder if most of you can read.

It's a MANUAL transmission!

No pan.
No flush.
No filter.

As was mentioned, the fill plug can sometimes be a bear to get at. Look before you drain it. You may need to get a pump to fill it. That'll mean possibly getting a third quart as you'll have trouble getting it all out of the bottle.

Edit: Listen to BoomerD.

Good point on the bottle pump. I've had one for years, so I never even thought about it...It's pretty difficult to get the bottles into such a position where you can squeeze it into the fill holes. They usually run less than $10., and make the job much easier...

Sometimes a piece of plastic hose connected to a funnel works well for accessing hard-to-get-to fill holes. It *will* spill, so be prepared.

and what exactly do you base this statement on?

Only finding testing on the motor oils, (and so far, mostly on Amsoil sites) but:

IMO, Red-line is an ok oil, and is probably better than the dino equivalent, but I'd still go with Ansoil or Mobil 1 if I if I was going to change to synthetic.

Sorry......I'll go with my experience on this one over 10 year old data and Amsoil product literature that doesn't even test the product we are discussing.

I highly recommend Redline........

This is not to say Amsoil or Mobil 1 are bad but that your statement "RedLine is actually one of the lesser quality synthetic oils in testing" is BS.....

A bottle pump is handy but can't always be used with every kind of bottle. I recommend an oil syringe.

are there any well known places that have a price like that?

Two mechanics gave me the quote... However, the transmission fluid was mine.. add another $12-15
