Meridith Vieira was on Conan and she mentioned the term "Ham Sandwich" when talking about her husband...What exactly does it mean?
 
I'll try to figure it out when I watch the show in an hour. My sister watches the View & I remember her saying something about the 'Ham Sandwich' before.

I wasn't paying close attention. I just heard ham sandwich mentioned along with Meridith talking about her husband making love to her while she was asleep and it just caught my ear:Q
 
My first thought is two slices of bread, ham, and swiss cheese...

Well, my guess would be she's talking about when she's asleep and her husband starts poking his.....um....ham..at her from behind...sort of between her...um....bread. Imagine she's laying on her side with her back to hubby and he's, well, you know...from behind? Not like IN the behind, just FROM behind....

That's just my guess, I have no experience in receiving a "ham sandwich", for the record. 😉
 
CG pretty much summed it up as I would have.

I would assume that it involves the placement of a male "organ" between her "hams", thus creating a "ham sandwich".
 
I don't really have a problem with it. 95% of the US population doesn't know what the alternate meaning of a "Ham Sandwich" is, and I would bet that 99.9% of children under the age of 15 don't know what it is. They never explained what it is, so I really see it as no harm, no foul.
