Is it any wonder that north american's are the fattest people in the world when we are concerned with "getting our money's worth at a buffet"

Should you skip breakfast? In my experience, I haven't found that this works.

I want to get the most for my money, since I eat at the buffet so rarely.

Wow, what a refreshing change of pace from all these ?I wanna lose weight?\?How to be healthy? threads.

Good job man!

Any other pansy asses want to step in with more "blah blah American's are fat" bull shit? We don't need your kind around these parts. This thread is about eating so much that little bits of cow start making their way back up your throat when you burp. Everything tastes better when you're swallowing it for the second time.

no, dont skip meals. Your stomach is of finite size, so this is the limiting agent. If you skip meals you wont be able to cram more food into your stomach just because. Just eat as much as you can, bring a book for intercession, then eat when you are hungry again, assuming they dont kick you out.

Like the bible? Did you mean intermission?

Haha thanks... but like I said this is something I do maybe twice or three times a year.

When you get full, go to the rest room and stick your finger down your throat. Go back to the buffet, repeat.

If you really want your moneys worth... Bring a tent.

You'll have to train for like maybe a week.

1) Eat a big breakfast everyday, really stuff yourself even if you feel full. Eat quickly and drink very little
2) Eat lunch and really stuff it, even if you aren't hungry
3) Go to the bathroom often, even if you don't have to
4) For dinner same thing but don't eat too late
5) The key is to eat quickly and don't stop until you literally cannot put food into your mouth. Go to bathroom often.

After you've completed your training (better if you can do this for 2 weeks) you're strategy is almost ready. The day before the event, skip dinner. The day of the event, skip breakfast.

Now you're ready to tear that place apart.

I like it except for skipping breakfast. He should probably eat a muffin or something; gotta get that metabolism going.

wow... after reading this thread - no wonder they put in some rules like time limits and making you pay for wasted food.

A book ? Really ?!

They give an inch, people will take a mile.

I've heard that if you eat fast, it doesn't register in your mind that you are full. If you eat slow, your brain finally registers that it is full and you eat less. Thats what I heard but I don't know if its true or not. Fast as in finishing in 30 mins

Oh and don't go to Chinese buffets. Bad quality food, not entirely clean, just bad in general.

Yeah... But it's usually guarded by a guy with a fork and a carving knife. Wait until he goes on break, and then "carve" yourself about half of that alternator sized chunk of beef :)

I usually don't eat breakfast simply b/c I never eat breakfast--don't wake up early enough for that.

If you are awake early enough, you *should not* skip breakfast. Eat something light. You don't want to be feeling hungry the whole morning because it will do one of two bad things: 1) decrease your appetite as your stomach is like "fvck you, you aren't feeding me" OR 2) cause you to eat faster b/c you're hungry, which (at least for me) kills the max food capacity.

Other than that, I down a plate or two, and then I unbutton the pants :D Relieves some pressure and permits even more eating. I also usually take a shit around the 2nd or 3rd plate of food to relieve some more pressure, allowing yet another plate.

I mean I'm not like an eating-contest level person by any means, but the buffet folks notice me... lol.

Also, the kind of food matters--greasy = less capacity.

Edit: I do my thing at an Indian (dot indian, not feather) buffet. Pure awesome as you can get unlimited dosas, and I *love* dosas.

Edit2: And I consider it getting my money's worth when I can barely walk after eating, and I have to nap (uber food coma) on my side afterward because sleeping on my back = hard to breathe, and sleeping on my stomach = godamn painful. :D :D :D
