How about instead of pulling numbers out of our asses, we should all agree upon the letter or GPA point scale is different for each sittuation.

Just a thought. :p

My school goes goes on a 12 point GPA system. MUCH easier to understand :p

I have around a 10.8 or so. So around a 3.6 on a 4 point scale.

12 A+
11 A
10 A-
9 B+
8 B
7 B-
6 C+
5 C
4 C-
3 D+
2 D
1 D-
0 F

1.0 = 50 = D

(At least at my college)

For us, it was

4.3 = A+
4.0 = A
3.7 = A-
and so forth...

I think...it's definitely been a while

4-A, 3-B, 2-C, 1-D, 0-F. for high school weighted classes, you add one. so an 85% in a class is a B, hence a 3.0.

Pfff, lol this post is getting confusing, but this is what I am thinking too, but is a 4.0 a 90% and above then, or would it be 95%?

In my school, only the letter grade mattered. If you had all B's, you would get a 3.0. If you had all B-'s, you would get a 3.0.

At Syracuse and most other schools its:

4 = A
3.67 = A-
3.33 = B+
3 = B
2.67 = B-
2.33 = C+
2 = C
1.67 = C-
1 = D

our school is
A = 4.0 = 85+%
A- = 3.7 = 80-85%
B+ = 3.3 = 75-80%
B = 3 = 70-75%
B- = 2.7 = 65-70%
C+ = 2.3 = 60-65%
C = 2 = 55-60%
D = 1 = 50-55%
F = 0 = < 50%

They kick the sh!t out of us to make sure that very few people get A's, though

It's amazingly high for someone who can't grasp the concept of a GPA. It's also equivelent to straight Bs.

Atleast the 3.3 oe 3.4 is what it says for the HOPE Scholarship in Georgia. Anyone know why the college would say I have a 2.97 GPA?

coulda screwed up your transcripts

Hmm, I will have to give them a call tomorrow I guess. I am pretty sure they have my GPA wrong. Thanks for that answer, that is kinda what I was hoping to hear was that colleges can make mistakes sometimes too. :D
