Those, I think, are among some of the most astounding discovery of the human race. Due to the exposure to science fiction, information and the posibilities with modern science, I don't think anything that we could invent today could match up to the awe and reverence of past discoveries, short of time travel or immortality.
Not even fusion, not even cloning, nor DNA restructuring could make me jump out of my chair and cheer. So what would stop you in your track and say "Wow!"?
