What Internet connection speeds you guys have?

I know most of you people are from America. Internet should be fast and cheap. I used to be from Hong Kong, where 1Gbit interrnet just arrived.

Sadly currently I am studying in UK... Which is still pretty primitive in Internet Connection. It's only 2 years ago 512kbit Internet begins to appear. Now it's 512k-2MB. The techonology sucks though, as if I am 2 Kilometre away from the exchange, which I am; I can't get a better connection than 512k. I am stuck at 512k even 1MB is a lot cheaper now. I miss Hong Kong...

This might be Off-topic. I am sorry if it is.

You forgot 11-99 mb. Off the top of my head I know some FIOS services fall in there, at around 15mb. Anyway I have 10mbit down / 1mbit up cable.

Well, I used to be happier at home with my DSL (was 768/128, but recently upgraded to 1.5/384) since work was Satellite. We recently upgraded to cable at work though, and the speeds are just awesome:

Your TRuSPEED: ^info^ 4911 Kbps :: 599 kB/s (7% overhead factored)

Bottom Line: You are running: 82 times faster than 56K and can download 1 megabyte in 1.83 second(s)

Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 47.45 % faster than the average for host (cox.net)

Verizon plans on going as high as 30mb down, 15mb up. I don't know what they have going so far though, still testing it.

I have comcast, which is running at 4mb right now, but upload is terrible on cable.

Currently, RCN Mach10 - 10Mbps down, 800 Kbps up. Although I think I'm going to downgrade to Mach7 - 7Mbps down, 800 Kbps up, to save $10/month ($38/month).
