actual might be faster, my work computer has a crappy 10mbit network card.

at home i have 4mbit/384kbit cable...

I have comcast, which is running at 4mb right now, but upload is terrible on cable.

Verizon's FIOS is 15Mbps down/ 2Mbps up or 30Mbps down/ 5Mbps up. The prices are $50 and $200 per month respectively. And yes, FIOS is the freakin' sh!t!

Yep, and it's a big pet peeve of mine. I'm sure no one here has a 5MB connection as it would equate to 40Mbps. But if you do, you're the man...or woman.

I run Optimum Online which was rated #1 in terms of speed and overall.

I get 5-6 down, around 1 up in a speed test.
