What if you walk into a murder in progress?!

I'd do something about that situation. Dunno about gun play. That would be a dangerous prank to play in the USA.

Depends on how well armed we are. If it's just a guy choking or beating someone to death I'd step in. If he's stabbing or shooting someone I still might step in if I could gain an advantage. My personal safety comes first, but if I can help without endangering myself very much I will.

Its tricky. How do you know the guy subduing the other guy wasn't defending himself?

Situation in video would probably warrant a drawn weapon.

When you say "do something about it" is the alternative walking on by and never speaking about it again because you are kind of an accessory at that point. I presume what you actually mean is "would you try and help the person being murdered" and it would entirely depend on if I felt I could incapacitate them without getting killed.

depends on the weapon being used. A knife or a gun... yikes. Someone strangling someone it's much easier to help. Can't say for sure though as adrenaline kicks in.

Around here you are permitted to use deadly force to protect someone else from serious harm or death so that attacker could have easily ended up getting double tapped in the chest.

I've stopped much more violent situations before. Luckily never with weapons involved. 2 guys kicking another in the head on a Chicago subway was pretty interesting.

But that that last guy though... WTF.

Yesterday they said on the news that the last guy and some of the others were part of the prank (if that's what you want to call it.)

I think that's an incredibly dangerous prank. I can't say for certain, but at one point, the one guy said "help!" If I saw that cord around the guy's neck, again, can't say for certain, but I think the assailant would have done some time travel as I punted his head into next week. That position on the floor was just asking for that level of attack to protect the other guy (rather than bending over to try to intervene.)

Yep, I think my gut instinct would have been foot to the face. Could happen so quickly they wouldn't have time to yell, "Prank."
