What if Trump loses the election but refuses to leave office?

I think if everyone agreed he lost you would be right but if the election is at all close I doubt there will be such agreement. What does the secret service do if the president says the election was stolen?

The Secret Service is very much part of the dreaded Deep State. Their loyalty is to the Constitution, not the man in the office. When the winner of the electoral college is official (Trump has no control over that) they'll begin their own transition to a new president. The rest of federal law enforcement & the military will fall in line right behind them.

That's a great theory, wonder how it will work out in practice.

Every other person in Washington also took an oath to support and defend the Constitution. How's that working out in practice?

I think Trump leaving is surely the most probable scenario but anyone who thinks he won’t claim the election was fixed is fooling themselves. He will do this as a trial balloon and see how it goes - if his loss is fairly close it’s possible conservatives will latch onto it and then no, he won’t leave.
He'll go because he'll be removed by the SS. At that point, they work for Joe Biden, and will do as Joe tells them. I don't believe it will ever come to that.

They ask the electors who they voted for, that person becomes president.

What has Trump done to maintain standards and follow precedents since taking office? What makes you think he would just leave? Try answering honestly for once.

We found out Trump has the authority to call up national guard troops into DC. What if he calls some stooge Republican Governor and asks for troops to surround the White House?
You just found out that the President can call up the National Guard in the District of Columbia?

Of course he'll leave on Jan. 20th 2021 if he loses the election on Nov. 3rd 2020. I have no doubt at all.

I always answer honestly, you just don't like my answers sometimes.

Who controls Trump? Zionists.
Who controls Biden? Zionists.

Trump will leave office. No matter who we vote for, we get a Zionist. I love our 2 party system. We get the same thing no matter who's elected. They will make him get out to give the illusion you have a choice.
Get the fuck out.

So nobody here is concerned that our two candidates are Zionists? Pledging loyalty to a foreign government that is based on racism and fascism? Interesting.

Did you ever have doubts Trump would shoot and gas unarmed citizens peacefully protesting? It's not your answers per se but you don't seem to learn from history.

I'm more concerned about the fascism right in this country. A president shooting and gassing unarmed citizens peacefully protesting.

Do you think imported_muslimfuneralhome has a problem with Trump doing that as long as they aren't the "right" people? He supports it fully.

Of all the wacky conspiracy theories, you can take comfort in not buying into the most crazy. I'd put this one more likely thank flat earth.

I'm concerned about that too. But to elect a fascist and a racist in place of a fascist and a racist doesn't seem like "progress" to me. But to each their own.

What conspiracy theory?

2016

In 2016, nearly 20,000 delegates attended the AIPAC Policy Conference; approximately 4,000 of those delegates were American students.[8] For the first time in AIPAC's history, the general sessions of Policy Conference were held in Washington, D.C.'s Verizon Center in order to accommodate the large number of delegates. Keynote speakers included Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Governor John Kasich, Senator Ted Cruz, and Speaker Paul Ryan. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has spoken at AIPAC before in person, addressed Policy Conference via satellite on the final day of the conference. Senator Bernie Sanders chose not to attend the conference.[59] Also in attendance were many members of Congress and high-ranking military officials from around the globe.

WOW that did it. It's clear to me now, thanks.

Also, I would never try and reason with a person who believes the earth is flat.

CNN has a great take on this. The President isn’t a fighter, he is a complainer. He will NEVER admit defeat, he will drag his feet on leaving office and always say he was cheated somehow.
He will leave office, he will never accept losing.

**I still firmly believe we will have a second term Trump**

I'm not convinced Trump actually enjoys his job, with the 6 hours of daily executive time, he's practically retired already. He'll throw a fuss but he will leave because he enjoys the Southern White House more.

Can you provide a link where you expressed concern Trump is a fascist President before today? Absent that you are lying.

BTW - I searched for the word fascist using your username and did not find one entry where you referred to Trump as a fascist. So again you are a proven liar!!!!

I think he'll ultimately leave shortly after he realizes the alternative is the humiliation of being forcibly escorted out by military and/or law enforcement. But he's going to make it a nail biter for awhile.

And if anyone, anywhere doubts he's going to claim he was cheated out of winning the election, that person is an idiot. I mean, even without the way he behaved in 2016, do people realize that Trump claimed the Emmy voting was rigged when the Apprentice didn't win one? Trump can never accept that he legitimately lost anything.

As much as he hates all the responsibilities of POTUS, he’ll hate losing even more.
