Well you're entitled to your opinion but I didn't know what being unselfish meant until I started following the life of Jesus. I can relate to Brantly. Jesus showed me how to overcome racial and nationalistic barriers. He helped Gentiles Samaritans...people that Jews held in contempt. He ignored race and saw all of us as the same.

Because if him, I learned that there was no race but the human race, thanks to God and Jesus, I've become a changed man.

This was the best choice I've made. I now have a real purpose, and because of Jesus, a positive and great outlook on life.

Righteousness permeates God.

Good for you, I'm glad you found some peace and became a better person. Please keep in mind that many people do not need to believe in a god in order to not be a racist, or to have a positive outlook on life. I certainly don't need to believe in a god in order to have a real purpose in life.

If a god really existed the world would be as it is, for he is a trickster god. Amen.

He doesn't really understand. I think he posts out of Libraries because I can only imagine he is homeless.

You're just mad because I like to point out your flaws in why the entire forum hates you, too.

If you'd bother taking the time to read the thread and contribute to it instead of wasting time with pithy personal insults, you'll see that I've already addressed his post.

Oh, by the way Rob, still waiting for that objective peer-reviewed evidence that contradicts evolution that you claim exists.

Everyone doesn't need God for that, no...and I don't think I said everyone did.

However, we all need something, whether we find purpose and peace in our careers, raising a family, teaching others, and so on. But for folks to insinuate that God can be removed from everday life because *some* find purpose in other things, is the exact same as saying that all those other things can be removed from everyday life becasue *some* find purpose and peace in God.

Just sayin'.
