what if pc gaming died

1. Can't play FPSes or RPGs even halfway decent with those crappy controllers.
2. Try upgrading your console. To play the latest console games you have to get the latest console, while a lot of games are still playable on my 2 year old PC, and I can upgrade parts of it when needed.
3. Try using your console for working at home using a VPN connection.
4. Wow, the console is a few hundred dollars cheaper! Too bad the games are twice as expensive though.
5. Racing games suck, games mentioned in 1 rock.
6. You don't need a seperate PC at home for working remotely, so you save not only on the overpriced games, but also on the cost of a console.

didnt know this was a spelling bee.

There is a difference between expecting someone to win a spelling bee and expecting someone to have the skills to communicate on the most basic level. Seriously I cannot read the OP's posts they are so butchered the only conclusion I can come up with is "this guys is an idiot."

Three words: keyboard and mouse

In all seriousness though in order for consoles to take over pc gaming they'd have to become PCs themselves. It's so much easier to communicate with people over a PC. Let's not forget that most people use their PCs for alot more than just gaming.

Lots of recent console games seem pretty stale as well. Lots of bad PC FPS port such as the absolutely hideous xbox 360 version of Quake4.

LMAO ... it's pretty obvious you've never used xbox live if you think it's easier to communicate on a PC than it is on XBox Live.

pc gaming is not dying. i got a chance to play an xbox 360 last weekend (graw!!) and while it was neat, it is definately not pc gaming. it's a whole lesser level on the console. and for those that think xbox live is great...yeah. 20 minutes to get into the same lobby with the people we were trying to play with, due to network connection issues, unexplained boots from the room and the fact that setting up games still sucks.

all it did was remind me of the hells of setting up mech assault games back in the day.

if ur not old enough to fet laid wellllll they made gta haha

is that even english?

Ugh. I hate playing on consoles sometimes, because of the extreme lag and load times these days.
The controller on these games are also absolutely horrible and with lag it will make some shots impossible.
So many times in FPS games I would keep whining about how much better a mouse and keyboard would be over this crappy controller.

PC Pros:
Mouse/KB/and every other controller under the sun
Lower cost expansion packs for games
Superior: 1st person shooters, RTS, and RPGs
Cheaper games
MMORPGs
cheap/modular upgrades
more "Western" (non-japanese) games

Console Pros:
Superior: sports games, fighting games
Easy big screen gaming
ease of use overall
cheaper inital hardware
Japanese games

As I look at it, it all depends on what type of games you like. If you're a sports/platformer/FF fan, then a console will make you happy. If you're into WoW, Battlefield, Command and Conq, a PC will make you happy. If you like all of the above, I wish I had your spare time! 😀

PC gaming isn't going anywhere. Same as "The Mac is doomed!" threads. You'll hear them every year.
