What has been the most addictive game you have ever played?

Just about anyone that has ever played EQ will tell you it is by far the most addictive "thing" they have ever done be it sex, drugs, gambing, or anything else.

Quake 2 pretty much has a permanent spot on my harddrive now. Everquest sounds a lot like a graphical version of those multiplayer text-based MUDs I used to play on, ie form a party, kill monsters, gain levels, skills, spells, gold, hoard and auction eq. etc. MUDs were insanely addictive, I'd spend countless hours at a time playing them, and being in a bad mood all week if my character died and lost all his eq. It got to the point where I was literally planning my life around that game, that's how crazy it was

...I was addicted to having sex and doing drugs while playing EQ ...had to do something constructive while I waited for my mana to regen.

i haven't played any games in a while. played a lil q3a but wasn't addicted. but i rem in HS my friends and i would spend countless hours playing C&amp;C and redalert and worms!!

One week I racked up 80 hrs playing subspace, ACTVELY playing it. And this was while in college... that semester GPA was bad.

cold turkeyed the game for a year, came back to it a month ago and now play only late at night and on weekends, EG Elims.

Where's all the EQ freaks?

Probably Diablo 2 for me. Definitely not the game that I've logged the most hours on but the one that I played the most at a time and keep coming back to it. Highest char is only a 62 barb but that's since I've started playing again for a month or so. Actually my highest char when I played it a while ago was only about 55 heh but I restarted and had so many. Not to mention I leveled VERY SLOW when I didn't know anything about the game.
