What has been the most addictive game you have ever played?

For me it's been the Counter Strike MOD for Halflife. I've been playing it since Beta 2 and I was hooked on it for well over a year. Probably the closest competitor for me has been Civ 2. Sure it isn't a game that EVERYONE enjoys, but once you get into it... it can get REALLY addictive 🙂
 
From my late nights and early mornings, it would have to be ::sigh:: Starcraft. Damn game is the cause of those pillows under my eyes.
 
SWAT3 Elite Edition, on multiplayer coop. CS has a much better multiplayer system, less lag, and a better game engine, but I still prefer SWAT3 because it's less like a DOOM-style shoot-em-up and more realistic. More suspenseful because you don't spend all your time running.

on another note...i bought CS just to see what all the hyype was about. man that game was pretty beat...what does everyone see in it?
