What happened to the default ? I can't stand this layout.

Is there some way to get rid of that giant black thing at the bottom?

I'm old, I hate change in general, but I could learn to live with this if I could make a dozen or so changes. The big black space at the bottom being number 1, 2, and 3.

ublock origin element picker. Pick black thing, create rule, enjoy life a bit more.
 
This really is pretty awful. There's so much white space you have to scroll to see beyond 2 posts. Even for viewing on a smart phone this makes zero sense. And navigation is seriously inefficient. There are no shortcuts to things like your list of subscribed threads, subforums, etc. It takes 2 or 3 clicks to do what you used to be able to do with one. And that's just what I've noticed in the past 10 minutes that I've been on here.

If the point of this redesign was to make the forum more palatable for smartphone access, then let me ask one simple question - why? Anyone who primarily uses a smartphone for accessing the internet isn't going to come here anyway. They'll go to one of the forums dedicated to Apple or Android. And that's assuming they even go to a forum at all.

I hope who ever had the idea for this design did some market research and has some factual basis for believing that it's going to attract more new users than the existing users it's going to lose.

I was able to block with Adblock...

On a phone, I'm typing blind. The reply window doesn't go above the keyboard(landscape), and I can't see what I'm typing

Also I predict much pearl clutching now that PC Games is a steam logo

Can we please get the OT symbol changed to a guy on a toilet? Maybe that’s better for P&N?
 
The "Default Style" is miles ahead of either the AnandTech or Dark AnandTech styles. Default still needs darker (black?) text but at least I can read it now.
 
I feel like I need sunscreen to be here. Not a fan of the super bright "windows 10 like" interface (what is with that trend anyway, everyone seems to be doing it) , and the dark is TOO dark, trying to figure out which one is not as bad. 😛
