What happened to HyperX speeds?!!

I used to have 2x512MB Kingston HyperX PC3500 ram. On my rig I could set teh timings to 2.5-2-2-5, perfectly stable. CPUZ even said it was going at 2.0-2-2-5. I gave those two DIMMs to someone else and got two new ones. The only difference I could see visually is that the new ones have a little red kingston logo on them (the old ones didn't). Now, with everything the same, I can't get the RAM to clock at 2.5-2-2-5. I can only get 2-2-3-6. WTF is going on? Did kingston change the ram someway more than aesthetically or is this something I should expect? Here's my setup-

P4 2.6c
MSI 865PE, bios v1.3
HyperX PC3500 1GB
128MB Leadtek GeForceFX5900
Fortron 530W PSU
DDR Volt 2.65
AGP Volt 1.50
Dynamic Overclock- Private
Performance- Fast (PAT Enabled)
AGP Aperature 128MB
Everything else basic

Since 2-2-3-6 is faster than 2.5-2-2-5 in all applications i dont see a reason for your worries

If you are dead set on getting 2-2-2-5 then try upping the voltage to 2.8V
Also mess around with PAT and see if lowering Pat to lower setting besides Fast (i dont know what your mobo has) with lower RAm timings like 2-2-2-5 will give you a boost because sometimes you'll have 2-3-3-6 with the fastest PAT enabled or 2-2-2-5 with slower pat and even though pat is slower sometimes tighter timings turn in better results

Thanks for the advice thus far. Done some more testing, and best I can do is 2-3-2-5 @2.6volts. If I set RAS to CAS to 2, system refuses to boot up. Setting the Performance mode to Fast just turns PAT on. I could set it to Slow and thus turn it off, but the fact that I didn't have to before is what I'm irritated about. I can live with 2-3-2-5, but it sucks I had 2-2-2-5 before...
