What grocery store do you shop at? Why?

I can choose between Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Lowe's or Super Target. Food Lion is nasty so no way I shop there. Lowe's is close to the house, so if I need something quick we go there. Harris Teeter is usually where we do our main shopping, although we have been going to Super Target a lot lately because their prices on a lot of things are way better. Last time we shopped there we saved like $40 over what we usually spend at Harris Teeter.

50% Costco (maybe more)
20% Fred Meyer
20% Winco
5% Albertson's

Something like that. I shop once in awhile at Safeway, but not nearly as often as I used to because the only store that's convenient to go to very often is kind of depressing.

Price Chopper (Closest store to me, best prices)
Sobeys (Open 24H, only go here for specific items and late at night)
No Frills (also good prices, but far)

Call me weird, but I shop at different places depending on the circumstances.

I go to the local Farmer's Market for as much as I can, then otherwise it's a mixture of Copp's, Woodman's, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and the local Co-op (which is better than Whole Foods in virtually every way - but does not have yummy frozen tacquitos).

Mainly Albertson's because it's pretty clean and their meat prices are good.

Once in a while I'll shop at Sweetbay because it's the closest one.

Market Basket.

They are by far the cheapest in the Boston area. Call them ghetto, call them whatever you want, but I save atleast 20% on my grocery bill when I shop there.

For meat, I will buy at Market Basket, but I prefer Roch Bros. When they have a sale, it's a dam good place to go. Whwen they are not on sale, bend over and hand them your wallet.

Shaws and Stop and shop hit the bottom of my list.

King Sooper (Kroger). They tend to be as cheap as Wal-Mart with better produce and a much better shopping experience.

Also, Costco.

Hannaford. I think they're New England only, though. Waaay cheaper and better quality than the likes of WalMart, Sam's Club, Stop & Shop, etc.

hannafords is not that cheap....I love their butcher shop, though.

i'm surpised that there's still Cub Foods around.
i thought all Cub Foods and Waremarts became WinCo. you could tell they were all the same company because they used all the same signage inside.

Lol, OP, within 10 miles of me I have Acme, Genuardis, Super Fresh, Giant, Redners, Clemens and ShopRite, none of which appear on your huge ass list!

Stop n Shop: well lite, clean, good variety and select, okay meat and seafood

Stew Lenards: good produce, excellent meat and seafood

Whole Foods: excellent meat

Basic necessities come from Meijer.

All meat, fresh produce, etc comes from Marsh or Whole Foods

All of my little extras come from Trader Joe's
