What getting significant other for Xmas?

get a hand crafted glass rose in a glass vase.. that can be found at one of those glass blower places. its cool coz its also colored glass, so the rose itself is red. thats one of the things i got my gf for christmas. luckily she doesnt browse through here so she wouldnt really know.

This year, for my bf, I am getting him one of those Sony RioVolt cd/mp3 players and either the Sopranos or X-Files dvd box sets. I asked him for a bracelet, a Samurai Jack action figure, and a unix book.
I know you said you didn't want to list price range but how low is 'pretty low'? under $100? $50?

I got my wife a Teac MP3 player (plays the mini CDs), arrived today, works great. Oh yeah, and some Logitech Z560's from Dell, guess I might also get to use them a little bit hehe

My gf works as a systems admin and she would NEVER go for anything techie as a gift... go figure. I think a bracelet and nice gloves will do it this year... maybe throw in some romance novels from her favorite author. As for what I want... well, everything I want is too expensive to be considered a Christmas gift.
