Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Killer Instinct are reasons for me for pick XB1.

Thinking about it more and watching videos, if dead rising 3 gets good reviews I may pick that up too. I did not like the other ones but the developer says in 3 you can go anywhere in the city from the beginning of the game and you can play without the timer. That may sway me toward it. The open world may actually be fun.

I agree completely. Full open world to wreck havoc on zombies with no timer restrictions appeals to me big time. 🙂 The series always had plenty of good ways to destroy zombies... having it open world is icing on the cake.

Hmm, if DR3 is open-world, no timer, it interests me now as well. Wasn't even on my radar before. I think I'll pay a bit more attention to reviews now.

There are two modes. Standard mode is no timer and the other one which has a name that escapes me at the moment, is the traditional mode with timer. In the gameplay video the developer talks about how you are not restricted in the world when you start, you do not need to unlock anything. It is all open for you to explore and experiment with. There are story portions that break up the random slaughter though, but you don't have to do them immediately.

DR3 looks interesting, but I am iffy on the series at best. I ended up hating 1 and 2 because of little things, and I really have no faith in Capcom at this point. If I keep my Xbox pre-order, I will get BF4 and Watch dogs for sure. If I keep my PS4 pre-order, I will check out Killzone and maybe rent Knack.

Watch dogs, cod ghosts , bf 4. Maybe knack if I see good reviews. That will be all for the year unless I start liking killzone or any of the other titles I'm unfamiliar with.

Also, for ps3, gta 5 will be the last game I get. I'll move the ps3 to my room and figure out how to connect it to my pc monitor so I can play my old games.

Ah, Battlefield 4 how can I forget that D:

Also eerily looking to buy Destiny for when I do buy a next gen console rather than playing it on my Xbox 360

PS4

Knack
Watch Dogs
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

When released:
inFAMOUS: Second Son
Destiny

Forza 5
Killer Instinct

I wanted to get a PS4, but none of the first party games interest me and I only play muilti-plats on the pc.

Watch dogs is the first Ubisoft game that has interested me since they stopped their war against PC customers. I really like the look of everything so far, but it does look like a game that is far more controller friendly than keyboard and mouse so am considering getting it for a console depending on how the controls work out in practice and what the PC version comes with. Could get a console and the game for PS4 instead of PC depending on the reality of the graphics difference and controls.

BF4 is looking much like BF3, I played it and liked it so I'll play it but I suspect I won't be that impressed. Will definitely be on PC.

Titanfall looks interesting, I like my fast paced FPS games and that will definitely have to be on the PC also.

Dark souls 2 maybe. Another possibility for the console as the third person and atmosphere from a bigger TV and surround sound system should lift the game a lot.

F1 2013 dependent on reviews - and I will check for the cheeto's smells in those reviews. Historically a very buggy series so I will be wanting a proper in depth review. The AI that rams me off the road and then gets me disqualified is just wrong, as are all the graphical problems and performance issues. I love my F1 racing games but if its not working on release I will skip it.

X rebirth is looking quite nice. Could be a buy, very much depends on how far its come from X3.

There isn't a game that is a console exclusive I must have so far, kind of a shame I might sell the 360 and PS3 and skip the next generation all together.

Bright candle, battlefield 4 has naval warships you can sink and call in strikes from the battleships. That is the most impressive thing I have seen from it and I am looking forward to those maps more than anything.

Bit early to make that proclamation, no?

Of course it is. It is funny that people think "oh there are no games I will want". As if there will never be a game they care about over the entire life of the next consoles. Why can't people just admit that they aren't into gaming enough to buy a new console now. Maybe they don't have time or maybe they just don't find them fun anymore but if you are a gamer and interested in gaming I don't see how there can be nothing that looks the least bit interesting to you and makes you want to see more.

Hell I can see people balking at $400+ now and having a backlog, but there have been many game announcements and teasers that make the future look very good so far.

Even if I was only buying one game at launch and that was the only interesting game I would still buy the console. It's common knowledge that there will be few games at launch which will interest everyone.

Some prefer the Xbox line up instead.

I'm interested in trying some of the free games you get from PSN. There are a couple of them that are even free without PSN+. At least I have a few things to try and let my friend's try out as well. If they are not very good it's no loss, just delete it.

I think that I'll have plenty to do with both consoles, more than I probably can make time for.

I agree I barely have time now trying to finish some ps3 games. Just finished la noire tonite, what a pretty long game especially if you want to get all the cases right.

I imagine I'll be playing online in bf4 and ghosts for ps4 first and spending a lot of time in watch dogs as single player.
