What game have you played the most from the beginning to the end?

Some games you play just once and then after some time forget them entirelly. But i have some games at home that i start playing again when i just do not have anything new, or just feel a bored or something.
I think that the game i have played most of times from the start up to the end is Chrono Trigger. i first started to play it when i was about 12 or something and now i just take it out again and play from time to time. It seems to be a reminder of childhood for me. Although i feel i´m getting old or something, last time i coulnd´t beat Son of Sun and found some helping hand from a walkthrough - i would like to kill all the bad bosses by myself, but just didn´t have the patience any more i guess. For now I have palyed this game quite many times already, but still can´t beat them all... that sucks...
But enough about me, what are yours most played games?

Hmm. Depends on what you mean by "played the most". RTS's which have a "random map" style skirmish like Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, etc, aren't technically being "replayed", same with online multi-player shooters.

Likewise older games will obviously be played more. Eg, I've still got some LucasArts games like Sam & Max Hit The Road & DOTT I've played quite a few times (was released in 1993, so it's had a fair few replays over the 21 years and still works fine in ScummVM). If you're referring to older single-player games, then Thief trilogy, Doom 1&2, Deus Ex (original), Bioshock (original) & Dragon Age:Origins have had more than 3-4 replays because they were such great games.

Overall though, I'd say probably Neverwinter Nights - Diamond Edition racked up the most overall hours & replays for me due to trying to complete it with all the 20-odd different char classes. Throw in the bundled toolset (back when PC games were PC games), community mods & NWVault = Must have had literally hundreds upon hundreds of hours out of that game. Happy days. 😀

KOTOR, or maybe KOTOR 2.

I dont know why, its pretty much always the exact same game (I always complete every optional quest). I guess Force Lightning is just so much damn fun.

Maybe Homeworld. I couldn't tell you how many times I've played through Homeworld because it's spread out over so many years. Bioshock, Darksiders, and Starcraft are in the running also.

KOTOR 1 I played as all 3 classes and different difficulties.

Borderlands 2, must have at least 1000 hours in that game, although I play mostly off-line so steam does not correctly record the playtime.

Surprisingly, I loved Skyrim, probably one of my favorite games, but could not really get into replaying it.

I don't replay games hardly ever. The only games i tend to keep playing long after are open world games like Fallout 3 or GTA.

The backlog is just too big and there are too many great games for me to replay the same ones over and over.

Games I replay from time to time:
Painkiller (On increasing difficulty levels)
Stalker series (Played vanilla when they first came out, now playing enhanced versions i.e. 'complete")
RTCW (Just like the game and graphics not bad either)

There are few new games I care to buy, the exception being Witcher series. Skyrim, Metro and new Deus Ex..Newer games for the most part are just not interesting to me; too much emphasis on making "pretty" games and not enough emphasis on originality, compelling story line and I think many just don't offer the immersion factor the older games did. Loved Thief series, will not buy the remake just for those reasons (among others). Just my opinion.

Mass Effect 1 and 2. Played through both many times. Pre-ordered ME3 CE, played through the whole thing once and that was it. Stupid terrible ending.

And like a few others so far, KOTOR and Dragon Age: Origins are up there. Bioware really made a lot of repayable games over the years.

Deus Ex: HR Directors Cut 3 times
Deus Ex: HR non- Directors Cut 1 time

I guess I just enjoy Deus...

UFO: Enemy Unknown/Defense, lots. XCOM: Enemy Unknown a fair bit too.

KOTOR 1 & 2 a fair bit too.

Tomb Raider 2 & 4.

Quake 1 and 4, Doom 3, RTCW, HL2 plus EPs.

I'm guessing that I've clocked the most hours on UFO though.

As far as total time spent on a game that would have to be World or Warcraft, hands down.

The single player game that I have replayed the most number of times is Half-Life 2. I usually don't intend on replaying the whole game, but it always manages to suck me in every few years.

KOTOR 1 & 2
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Pretty much all the original Sonic series (up to 3D Blast)
Pokemon Red
Fallout 3
Skyrim
Bioshock Infinite
Okami
The LucasArts Adventure series (Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, etc)

These are probably the ones I've done complete play throughs the most.

Star Control 2 for the last 20 years, now remastered in glorious HD (search google for the Ur-Quad Masters) and is 100% totally free. 😀

Diablo III
Diablo II
Morrowind
Oblivion + addons
Skyrim
Fallout 3 + addons
Fallout: New Vegas + addons

Skyrim's a bit of an exception. I put in a ton of time but never bothered with the DLC/addons. Partly because I accidentally deleted all my saves, and partly because I had enough by the time I finished the main game.

KOTOR 2 is better. On higher difficulties you get better loot. I've nabbed Immunity Belts in the very first set of lockers.

I can't think of any game I replayed from beginning to end. There are some I attempted to beat again like Karnov (NES/Arcade) or Strider (Genesis) but lose interest once the nostalgia runs out. Most games I never complete cause I get tired of playing them before I reach the end.

I played WC3: TFT more than any other game I think. Aside from that, world of warcraft, Quake 1, Quake 2, uhhhh............I know these aren't entirely SP games but that's my list. As far as single player games go...........probably Baldur's Gate.

I'm saddened to not see BG1 or BG2 on anyones list so far.

Yeah I started Karnov a hundred times at least. Never got anywhere. Strider too.

Like I said those are games I've started MANY times, but only beat maybe 12 or so.

The game I have played the most front to back is the same as every Gen X kid like me, Super Mario Bros 1.
