My water's been down since 2pm. The waterline's undergoing emergency repair. I want to do dishes, but the water being out is posing a problem. Can't even give them a dust bath like birds do. It rained yesterday, and there isn't any dust.

Don't realize how much you rely on running water until it stops running. Had a water main break in my area a few years ago for only a few days and I kept going to use a faucet and be like "oh right". Snow is also surprisingly hard to melt. Lot of thermal energy has to go into it to get it to water and you only get like 10% volume in water. It was enough for flushing the toilet and washing my hands but it would have made for a very cold shower lol. Had drinking water in the fridge already.

Can't get my NPT tap to dig into the stainless steel, even using the drill press and a pin to hold it down. I've probably messed up the metal cap I'm putting a thread into.

some yt videos are playing with auto-dub but there is no setting on brave android to change it back to original audio. There is such setting in Brave desktop :colbert:

Need a vesa adapter for an all in one for an exam room. Cheapest i can find is like $126.

90pt0000-p61000 thanks but no thanks asus.
I ordered one a few years ago from france for $50 and that was way too much then.

Its hard to find touch screen all in ones that can be wall mounted.

One thing I hate about winter is the ice cold water that comes out of the kitchen tap. It takes written notice and three working days to deliver hot water, so I either have to suck it up and put cold water on my hands, walk my ass to the bathroom, or wait the allotted time, and waste water getting a hot water delivery.

OTOH, it's nice getting a good glass of water right from the tap.

I've clocked my water at like -1C at the peak of winter if I let it run enough to clear my own pipes. Water main breaks do happen often enough, I used to take calls for emergency cable locates and get 1-2 watermain breaks per morning. They almost need to install some sort of recirculation system so the water keeps flowing overnight. Just checked for fun and it's 10C right now.

Was looking through my pictures from our recent trip to New Zealand, somehow I totally forgot about changing my ISO setting and left it at 2000 the entire trip. It was a really really packed trip so i guess I just didn't have time to mess around with my camera much, at least I didn't leave it a lot higher but there is some light noise that kind of annoys me.

Post a couple bad ones, I'll try the new AI relighting tool

Comcast seems to be having serious issues with connectivity today.

I can't even connect to Amazon.com unless I set my VPN's servers to Canada.

Trying without the VPN just leads to errors.
