Can you not run all these apps in a VM and have it force save on host shut down?Machine at work crapped out again. Since my boss had OKed me to move home if it happens again I did just that and working from home now. While it's nice to work from home it's a pain having to keep starting over each time. Hopefully it stops doing it now... I was good for a whole week at home during my vacation as I left it on as a test, only started when I got to the office so I do suspect it's one of the cables there that's dodgy and don't really have time to start troubleshooting that when I know my setup at home works so don't want to start removing cables here. I find when it comes to multi monitor setups if something works, leave it alone.
If it does end up doing it here then I know the issue must be related to only when it's under load. When I had it on for a week I didn't have everything open and was not VPNed in. But I did work 3 shifts in a row and was fine...
It's weird though since when it happens I do get an event log about dwm.exe crashing and it does seem to be a common issue, seeing lot of people getting this issue too. Monitors just start flickering and going haywire and eventually blank out but the system is still running. End up having to do a force shut down.
Which GPU? Are you mixing dGPU and iGPU for multi-monitor setup? It's weird though since when it happens I do get an event log about dwm.exe crashing and it does seem to be a common issue, seeing lot of people getting this issue too. Could be a conflict between the drivers of the different GPUs.It's a Nvidia T600 and at work one of the monitors is on the built in HDMI port so I suspect that may be part of the issue.
bad news is it really does eat up CPU, way more than I hoped. And that's only 5 4k cameras.
It is strongly recommended to use a Google Coral. A $60 device will outperform $2000 CPU.
Family member really needed an android phone in a pinch yesterday, so I factory reset and let them have my oneplus 9. Ordered a oneplus 10T from amazon for overnight delivery. Delivery window was 4-8am. Was delivered at 4:15am lolwhoa.
Anyways, I had forgotten how it's kind of a PITA setting up a new phone. Install all the apps, gotta install android updates, get authenticator apps set back up, blah blah blah. Oh well
Setting phones up is the worst. Takes all the fun out of getting a new device.
not gonna help if he formatted the old phone first xdBefore getting an Samsung S25, I never copied my old phone data over and just setup the phone as new.
When I got the S25, I used Samsung's transfer software (was using a S22) and it copied everything over seamlessly. It took about 15 minutes or so....
Don't remember if that was Samsung specific software or not though...
I'm in bed with Google 100% anyways. all my stuff is on the cloud waiting to be hacked. LoLnot gonna help if he formatted the old phone first xd
but could help for any future phone purchases...not gonna help if he formatted the old phone first xd
