How do bots solve captchas? Could you do something something like "Click all pictures showing a cat", and use shitty hand drawings of animals that barely look right, but could be recognized by humans? Is ai smart enough for that?

Machine at work crapped out again. Since my boss had OKed me to move home if it happens again I did just that and working from home now. While it's nice to work from home it's a pain having to keep starting over each time. Hopefully it stops doing it now... I was good for a whole week at home during my vacation as I left it on as a test, only started when I got to the office so I do suspect it's one of the cables there that's dodgy and don't really have time to start troubleshooting that when I know my setup at home works so don't want to start removing cables here. I find when it comes to multi monitor setups if something works, leave it alone.

If it does end up doing it here then I know the issue must be related to only when it's under load. When I had it on for a week I didn't have everything open and was not VPNed in. But I did work 3 shifts in a row and was fine...

It's weird though since when it happens I do get an event log about dwm.exe crashing and it does seem to be a common issue, seeing lot of people getting this issue too. Monitors just start flickering and going haywire and eventually blank out but the system is still running. End up having to do a force shut down.

Can you not run all these apps in a VM and have it force save on host shut down?

Which GPU? Are you mixing dGPU and iGPU for multi-monitor setup?

There's not really anything to save, what takes long is simply opening all the apps placing all the windows, logging in to everything etc. Although I suppose if there was some sort of VM software that can span all monitors one could set it up to pause the state so when you unpause everything is where you left it. But doing something like that would not really be feasible and don't think they would approve of that.

It's a Nvidia T600 and at work one of the monitors is on the built in HDMI port so I suspect that may be part of the issue. At home everything is off the add on GPU. AT work I have 3x 4k and 1x HD and at home it's 2x 4k and 2x HD so possibly pushing the card slightly less hard too. My boss will be ordering some new cables/adapters so I can change my setup at work to only use the 4 port GPU so hopefully that solves the issue. Failing that will ask to order a new GPU. The current one has a failed fan, so I jurry rigged another fan but maybe it's not enough. It's sitting at 64C though. I will check the temp next time I'm at work, just to see if it runs hotter there for some reason, maybe due to having an extra 4k monitor.

Could be a conflict between the drivers of the different GPUs.

A workaround could be using an older driver for the T600 (maybe from 2023). Their current drivers are sheeit.
